Awesome!

"This is one of the best zombie apocalyptic type books I've read in a long time! It was so well written and just flowed so beautifully! I couldn't put it down, and I literally started it this morning and read the whole way to the end!"

Brilliant

"I wasn't sure what I expected when I first started this book, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading it. Always a post-apocalyptic fan, this version was unique with amazing, characters. From the get go, you know it's going to be different by how the virus was transmitted (brilliant). The main character is a kill happy, heartless type who, at first, is very unlikeable. But as the book progresses, and you come to understand him, he sorta grows on you. Frankie is another character that really stays with you. Actually, I loved every character in this book and read it straight on through. For those of you who enjoy stories that take you out of the ordinary and gives you a phenomenal ending, I totally recommend this book. You will not be disappointed."

Awesome Read

"Really liked the concept of this story. The beginning had a great explanation about how things worked in the real world that people tend to overlook. It was a nice change from the usual zombie story that just makes things up as they go along and actual facts don't matter."

Compelling from start to finish.

"Here is my one and only complaint with this story; the excessive buildup and the habit of cramming multiple chapters together. Other than that, it's an excellent story."

When a serial killer finds his home

"A look in the mind of a serial killer in his perfect world. Dexter meets Walking Dead in gruesome and realistic view of the world and what happens when the industrial cleaners, chemical, and human error finally take down civilization. A must read for zombie genre lovers all around."

Nicely done

"Strengths: - characters: intriguing, very well done POV - dialogue: great slang and very realistic, funny at times - pacing: lagged a bit in the middle like previously mentioned but comes back strong with the action - ending: funny and revealing Overall: very interesting story with unique main character. As mentioned, much like Dexter. Ending was on point. Deterioration of main character's brain was subtle but telling."

Awesome and compelling!!!

"I loved the Captain Tripps reference. And I found the POV narrative and dialogue to be realistic and hilarious at times. Really well written! Everything (ignoring the zombie 101 chapters) flowed smoothly and quickly, hooking me and keeping me reading. I loved the highway and escape scene, I especially liked the dog detail (oh jeez, but that scene killed me. it was perfect but that poor, poor dog!!! :( ). I don't want to give anything away but this was a really awesome story!! I actually grimaced at the "great deal" for the pigeon wings. Ugh. So gross. Well done. The way you connected the patient zero family and the military base was brilliant. I wasn't expecting it at all but it makes it even more horrifying and it makes sense. The story was just filled with a lot of awesome details! A few typos like Average Joe's should be Average Joes. But otherwise the piece is really well polished! The one downside is that since this is a zombie story, a lot of it has been done before and of course, you do reference that in your story. In the start, it was alright. I didn't mind the self referencing but I felt Chapter 5 was just repeating everything you had already said in the first few chapters and I think it could be cut down to skip the parts you already brought up. The main character was great. And all the characters were really realistic and likable (for the most part, ha ha ha) I could definitely see these people being real and meeting them in real life. Just overall, these characters were super well written and I loved seeing a zombie story from the POV of a person that has secret desires to kill and finally being able to let loose. Ew to the backwash part. Well written but still ew. Ha ha ha Awesome story! I couldn't stop reading until the very end! :)"

Happy Days Indeed

"I was scrolling down the story list and stopped on Happy Days because I was briefly reminded of the TV show. I started reading the blurb and thought 'oh no another Zombie story' except it ended in the best possible way. Now I'm drawn into a fresh take on the zombie apocalypse, which takes a much more detailed approach, which I am enjoying."

Show Don't Tell

"You have a good story to tell and that's what you did, tell the story in first person. If you are interested in becoming an author of thrillers or horror novels, you must "show" the scenes. Dialog, scene description and character development are important to readers. Show that your hero is happy by having him whistle as he works, or something that will illicit a feeling from your readers. Try your hand at third person writing which is the next step after learning first person. Example: He moved through the horde of zombies whistling his good fortune of finding so many to kill in the shoe department. "Damn, this is gonna be a happy day." He pulled up his blood soaked bat and swung away. I like your story, but to sell a story you must engage your readers with dialog, action and detailed scenes. The only reason I know this...is that I'm a bestselling author of medical thrillers, horror and suspense. Much luck, Cherie De Sues"
