Someone was watching her. She wasn't scared - well she was at first - rather, she was comforted. This person was always there for her. She just wished she could see them. Her guardian angel. I stumbled, hands pin-wheeling to try to keep any sort of balance. It was no use. I pitched forward, too off-balance to regain it. Closing my eyes tightly, I expected to hit the marble floor. Then, something weird happened. It was as if someone had grabbed my flailing arm and yanked me upright. Before I could comprehend what had happened, I was standing just I had been before.
Someone was watching her.
She just knew it. She wasn’t weirded out – well, she was at first – rather, she was comforted. Because, whoever this person was, they had always looked out for her. They had always been there when she needed someone. They had always – always – cared for her.
