Chapter 1 - The Hospital
My name is Hannah. I am currently 20 years old and I'm in college in California. I was born in South Carolina. I'm single and I also have three siblings...my older brothers: Jacob, Matt, and Kanden.
Right now, I just stepped foot into my apartment that I rented a few months ago. I sit down on the small brown couch, closing my eyes for a second. My wolf senses are tingling with frustration and annoyance.
A sharp knock comes at the door and I wince at first, but get up after a moment and answer the door.
"Yes? How may I help you?" I ask politely, finding it to be the lady from the front desk.
"Just a reminder that next week you have to pay your rent bill," she replies with a smile.
I say thank you and she leaves to go back down. I sigh and walk to the bathroom, feeling a strong need to have a shower to calm my body.
The next morning I wake up to my alarm. Knowing that there is no college today...I turn the alarm off and sit up in bed. Yawning, I staying up and walk to the bathroom to use it.
When I'm finished, I walk down the stairs, and trip. I go sliding down the flight of stairs. After I reach the bottom, I try to stand, but collapse at the sudden pain that shoots through my shin. I sit on the steps, not knowing what to do.
Is human alright? Kayle, my wolf, asks. I sigh knowing that she will start to worry about me if I don't take it easy.
I'm fine, Kayle. Really, I assure her quickly.
I decide to call the desk lady, and ask for a little help. She comes instantly to my room, helping me off the steps.
She walks me down and I ride the bus to the hospital with one of her closest relatives.
