Prologue: THE UNCANNY ORIGIN STORY OF CONNOR BAKER
Connor was just an average 6 year old boy.
He lived in the small town of Oklahoma with his mother Karen.
One fateful day, Karen took Connor and his soon to be born sister, Samantha to the lake.
While relaxing in her chair, listening to the growing life kick around, her son dived right in.
Connor could feel the cool, crisp feeling of being surrounded by water taking him to new heights. He was able to lay on his back, seeing only lush green trees.
They were so comforting to him. He believed at that very moment if he became a tree, then his life would be utter happiness.
That was the very last moment Connor saw of this experience.
As he closed his eyes and went under, blackness remained when they reopened.
This frantic surge was matched with the shrill scream of his mother.
Karen shot right towards her child, miraculously he had already made his way to shore. With what looked liked the little strength he had,
Connor stood there calmly dripping in blood.
His right eye was attached to a thick piercing bone.
Apparently, there was a deer antler in the water.
The most impressive thing was that it actually took 60 seconds for the blood to stop and the cartilage only 7 days to regenerate.
This unorthodox incident resulted in the boy having the graceful and rigid DNA of a deer. For some odd reason, the rapid healing process of his retina now meshed with animal blood went unacknowledged.
His life was never the same again.
Connor modestly adapted to life with his new abilities.
He was always initially the strongest and fastest person in his class.
Morally, he would never use even a fourth of his strength in the presence of others.
The more he aged the more control he gained. As a teenager, he could form any aspect of his physical form into a structural antler.
This is where the story gets interesting.
