Loneliness

Dearest Mother

I know that I had promised to come visit you when the summer started but you would not believe what opportunity was presented to me not even days before I was to start heading home, the Kings eunuch had personally written me a letter writing that he had heard of my work and wished for me to paint a mural of the Royal family.

You understand why I couldn’t pass up this request don’t you mother? This could be the start of my career, this is the big break that I was waiting for and I could not refuse a request from the King’s man himself. I hope that you will not be angry with me for I will come visit you when the next winter comes, We will go lay under the skies and watch the sun descend and the stars appear like we always did

I promise

Love

Elmer Winscott

Your favorite son

°•°•°•°•

They weren’t coming

Elmer, I could understand why he wasn’t coming but that doesn’t mean that I was happy about it, Aren and Kyle’s letter had arrived just yesterday telling me that their shop in London was doing wonderfully and that they didn’t want to leave it just when they were at their peak and Vice, God bless him had found another innocent to corrupt

“His name is Gregory Mother and I’m just starting to get him to accept who he is and that it isn’t a sin to be interested in another man, you understand don’t you mother? I can’t just leave him like this, questioning and confused, the sooner I get him to accept who he is the sooner I get to teach him exactly how different it is to be with a man than it is to be with a woman”

I could almost see his smirk as he said those words to me over the telephone, all my son’s had yet to make me a grandmother or to marry but Vice would surely be the first, whether it was to marry a woman and give me grandchildren or to find love with a man and never marry since it was not legal to marry the same sex

A loud unladylike sigh escaped me, it had been almost a year and two since I last saw my son’s and it has been even longer since I last left this estate. The business that my eldest was to take over has kept me grounded in this house because Elmer had a dream of being a painter and none of the three triplets wanted to take over the shipyard business of the Winscott, so of course I the wife of the founder of the business could not let it disappear just like that

Another sigh came out, louder than the last “If you continue to sigh like that Lady McGarry you’ll get wrinkles” the man sitting behind the big wooden desk said startling the Lady

His bushy dark eyebrows rise and his brown eyes twinkled in amusement at her beautiful face scrunching up in distaste, he didn’t know if the saying was true but he knew it would be impossible for the Lady McGarry to be subjected to any imperfections because in his eyes the Lady was without a word perfect. Despite her age she looked just as young as her son’s, she had the near white-blond hair that all the Winscott boys had inherited, her nature born eyes were the brightest green he had ever seen even if they were tainted with a pretty gray silver, the green was still the prominent color

With the small body of a fairy and curves that made him lose his thoughts more often than not the Lady was a sight to behold, it was a wonder that most men came to do business with her, if not to try to court her than it was to just to get a glimpse of the enchanting fairy

“Oh shush Victor, I have the right to express my sadness in my own home do I not,” asked lady McGarry sending a glare to her husband’s former secretary

The glare made Victor’s body sprout goosebumps and not the bad kind

“Forgive me Lady, are the boys not coming this time either?” Victor asks softly noticing the underlying sadness showing on the Lady’s face, knowing the only people who could put that expression on her face were her son’s and thoughts of her late husband

“I’m afraid so Victor, Elmer, Aren and Kyle all have work they could not leave behind and you know how Vice is, once he gets his claws on something or someone he can’t let go until he’s satisfied” Dot says as if she wasn’t bothered but in truth her heart missed her boys and their constant neglection to her made it seem like she was the only one missing her family

When they first left to make their own lives and fulfil their dreams, Dot had made them promise to send letters every week to tell her how they were doing and if they were doing well, and at first they had but as the weeks passed the letters gradually got shorter and less descriptive until the letters stopped and only came on a rare day

Dot understood that they were busy and had made lives of their own but it didn’t take much to write a letter or pick up a telephone to call her and chat for a bit, but even if they had forgotten Dot hadn’t, she called every week even if most of her calls and letters went unanswered

“Lady McGarry?” Victor called breaking her out of her depressed thoughts

She looked at the handsome young man in front of her, he was a tall and skinny man but able to turn more than a few womanly heads with his light brown eyes full of concern and his shaggy dark hair, if Dot was a few years younger than she may have pursued the man , but alas her age and his connection to her deceased husband stopped her

“I’m quite alright Victor, I’ve got you here to keep me company don’t I” Dot said, jokingly making the young lad blush from his neck to his cheeks

“Of course Lady McGarry,” he said rather seriously “I’ll stay by your side as long as you need me to”

Dot smile sweetly while quietly staring at the determined eyes of the young man, oh how Dot wished her heart would beat for this man, she wished that she didn’t just see him as her husband’s loyal secretary, unfortunately, that is exactly what she see’s him as

“Thank you Victor, for everything that you’ve done for this family” The Lady says bringing a big genuine smile on his face “Now I think I should go tell Mea to stop the preparations before she’s done” Dot said standing up from the Royal red couch that her husband would spend most of his time in, she now understood why he like the chair, it was the most comfortable thing She’s ever sat on, Dot was afraid that if she sat there any longer she may not be able to rise up again

So she reluctantly started for the door moving away from the most comfortable chair on earth, as she was about to step out of the big office Victor’s voice called her and she turned “I really meant what I said Lady Mc- Dot, as long as you need me I’ll always be here”

Dot only smiled at the man and didn’t say anything as she left the wonderfully designed office that now belonged to her

Oh if only her heart didn’t die the day her husband left this world

If only...

It was a beautiful spring Morning that day, the day that she and her husband had been out on a rare picnic lunch, without their sons, and without interruptions. He had taken her to a grass field hidden in the trees, the field was a beautiful sight attached to a small beautiful deep pond that the sun made sparkle, making it seem like something out of a painting

“How come I’ve never seen this place before dear?” The young nineteen winters old Dot asked staring at the sight in awe

The Earl chuckled wrapping his arms around his beautiful wife, bringing her back flush against his chest “Maybe it’s because you haven’t looked hard enough” he whispered deeply against her ear and his wife huffed turning her enchanting eyes towards him making his whole body tingle

“I can assure you dearest, that I have explored every inch of this estate and I have been into these woods many times, yet I’ve never discovered this place” she said and for a second the Earl stared at his wife, at the mother of his children until he finally registered what she said and let out an angry gruff

“You went out into the woods? Even when I told you to not to, Sweetheart those woods aren’t safe for you” the Earl says knowing that he already told her this before

Dot frowned, she hadn’t meant to let that last part slip, she knew her husband didn’t like her in the woods yet he wouldn’t tell her why except the words he always said ‘it isn’t safe for you’

“Oh? And why is it safe for you and not for me?” His wife asked him, the fire in her eyes that made her different from all the other women aimed at him making him sigh and put his warm work worn palms on her face

“Because sweetheart, I know these woods, I’ve lived here ever since I was a young boy, I just don’t want you getting lost or worse” he explained his voice smooth and so full of concern

“Like I said before dear, I’ve explored these woods, I know them obviously not as well as you do but well enough to be able to make my way back home” Dot explained turning fully to face her husband her voice calm and reassuring

Her husband looked at her face for a few more seconds in silence before he finally signed in defeat and smiled wrapping his arms around her waist to bring her chest to chest with him. They were sitting down on the grass, a blanket spread out underneath them their basket of food and sweets yet to be opened

“I’ll never win with you will I” the Earl started bringing his nose down to her chest burying his face into the swell of her breasts

Dot brought her arms around his neck and chuckled not bothering to answer. They stayed in silence until she let out a sound of surprise pushing back from the Earls embrace

“You just bit me!” Dot said in an exaggerated voice looking at a highly amused Earl

“So?” The Earl said as if he didn’t do anything wrong” I’m allowed to bite my wife am I not”

“Absolutely not!” Dot said trying to get fully out of his embrace but not succeeding

“Then what good is a Wife if I cannot bite her?” Asks the Earl a joke in his voice

Dots struggles only manage to put them even closer “A wife has more uses than being a chew toy thank you very much,” said Dot finally giving up on her unless struggling

If it was even possible the Earl brought Dot even closer resting his forehead on hers, his palms flat against her buttocks kneading them in his hands skillfully “Oh? And what might they be” his sly lips questioned

A smile of my own overtook my face if it was a challenge he wants it’s a challenge he will get

We found ourselves completely forgetting about the food we were supposed to eat and spending most of the day on that green blanket that blended with the grass

“You have got to be the most beautiful fairy I have ever seen” Her husband whispered in her ears biting it at the same time while he continued to rock himself into me slowly torturing me with his rise and fall of pace

“Your breasts alone could have empire on their knees” he continued to whisper picking up the pace, now drilling himself into me while grabbing my breasts, sucking and biting them making me let out sounds that I’m sure could be heard all the way to the estate

“I love the way you squeeze me every time I whisper in your ear” the Earl continued, I wrapped my legs around his hips, the heals of my legs pushing against his buttocks trying to tell him to go deeper, faster because my words were failing me, anytime I tried to speak the only sounds that came out were guttering moans and high pitched wails

“I love the way your voice sounds when I pound my length into you, when I bite your perfect pink-” his words stopped turning into a loud growl, his hips moved even faster making my wails turn into full-blown cries, begging him not to stop, giving him marks on his body as proof of our love

I brought my lips to his kissing him like he was water and I was a man trapped in the Egyptian desserts and he returned my passion, whispering words of love like a prayer until something broke within me making me scream into his mouth, making me bite his shoulder marking him even more as mine

He soon followed only a minute after not stopping even when he started releasing himself inside me not bothering to quiet his voice as it rang out in the clearing his echo repeating itself as if telling us not to forget this moment and trust me I never would

His prayers didn’t stop even after he finished, the rocking of his hips never stopped either, slow and sensual and when he finally stopped my tears continue to run down my face soaking up the already sweat-soaked blanket

The Earl looked at his wife’s face and smiled a content smile, even with her hair sticking out, and her face red and tear-soaked she was still the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, he leaned down, kissing her eyes and whispered those exact words to her

Dot laughed “I’m sure I look absolutely horrendous right now dear” was her reply

The Earl just smiled and gave her a long sweet kiss then said “I’m sure we just made another baby”

And they did, a baby girl was born into the Winscott family,

A Baby girl that Dot soon lost

Merrell Bunting: Well written, kind of quiet story, I enjoyed it. I am still a bit perplexed over whether this was a second chance mating story with choosing or completely a chosen mate story. If it is a chosen mate tale it leaves one a bit worried about a fated mate showing up. Either way it was a nice read.
