Chapter 1

Jonas

My torture has now ended for the day, but there were only three words that made me do what I’m doing tonight. ”Go die, Jonas.”

Those words didn’t hurt me, but they broke me. Footsteps pulled me out of my thoughts. I turned around to find five boys walking toward me. I started running, not looking back. The bridge came into view and I pushed myself to run faster.

I looked back to find them closer to me than before. I reached the bridge and climbed on to the fencing before planting my feet on the rails. I closed my eyes and spread out my arms, tears streaming down my face as I prepared to jump. I felt a pair of hands grab my ankle and pulled me back.

My self-awareness kicked in as my foot landed on his face and he let go of my ankle. I stood up on the bridge and someone grabbed my waist. I was just about to scream when a hand covered my mouth with a slightly soaked rag.

“Breathe in and this won’t be hard,” a voice mumbled into my ear causing me to react the best way I could at this moment, inhaling. I started to breathe in but I wiggled out of his grasp. Black spots started to fill my vision as my body moved in a swaying motion. Someone picked me up bridal style before I had fallen over like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A black van pulled up as the door opened. The last thing I heard someone say was muffled and hard to make out.

Logan

I looked at the girl we just kidnapped and she was beautiful. Her head was on my lap, long brown hair was covering her fair-skinned face. It was odd how relaxing this was. It felt a little too familiar.

“Logan, did you hear what I said?” Kendall asked as I saw his hand in my face causing me to look up at him with a distracted look on my face. A cheeky grin filled the blonde’s face as he noticed the look on my face.

“You were staring at her, weren’t you?” Kendall teased while my cheeks turned light pink as I nodded yes to his question, too embarrassed to speak. She started to stir in her sleep then tears started rolling down her cheeks. I picked her up and sat her on my lap.

It was like holding a small child as soon as she started crying loudly, startling Liam who in turn swerved a little. “Is everything alright with her?” Liam asked referring to the girl who was on my lap.

“No, she won’t stop crying,” Kendall said for me as her eyes suddenly popped open and she leaned back to stare at me. Her eyes were the most beautiful thing ever. They were beautiful.

Her eyes looked at me then they changed from a dark blue to an ocean blue color. She looked around the van then hid her face in the crook of my neck. I could feel my blood rising to my cheeks.

Jonas

I woke up to see that a brown-haired brown-eyed boy was holding me. We stared at each other for a while then my eyes, I changed their color. I looked at me and saw 8 other boys around me, smiling like creeps. I hid my face in the crook of the boy’s neck.

“What’s your name sweetie?” the boy next to me asked with a kind smile. “Jonas,” I said timidly as my eyes rested on my hands. It was still settling in that I had been kidnapped. Of course, this was better than where I came from.

A few of the boys nodded their heads before I nodded. My eyes felt heavy again as I closed them, laying my head on his shoulder.
