Introduction
People like to talk about change like it’s the easiest thing in the world. If somebody doesn’t like you they will expect you to change, not for you but for them. Those type of people are the ones who think life owes them something. In reality life doesn’t work out the way people want it to. Kids these days won’t do anyone a favor unless they get something out of it, they can’t be kind without a reason. That’s a main reason why the world is such a shitty place, because people judge others for no reason.
This brings us to the life of Briella Jane. Briella didn’t want much in life, just good friends and a supporting family. The problem is that sometimes you get the opposite of what you want. Briella didn’t have many friends except her co-workers. Her family looked at her like she was nothing but a useless tool in their house. One thing people admired about Briella was despite how everyone was always against her, she fought for what she wanted. She keeps her head held high and feet on the ground. That's a lot to handle as a 16 year old. She lives in a large house with her mother, step-father, and her brother. None really cared about what happened to her. They barely even noticed they had a daughter. The only reason Briella could think of is that they never wanted a girl in the family, girls were considered weak. What they didn't know was how much internal strength she truly had, Briella Jane was anything but weak.
While walking home from school one day, a rock rolled in front of her. She leaned down to pick it up, she had no idea why someone would throw it at her. Looking around, she saw no one there. Briella didn't think much of it and dropped the rock, continuing her way home.
Little did Briella kow that there was a man, watching her from the woods. He was known as dangerous and terrifying. Nobody liked to mess with him, afraid they would unleash the inner beast. His name was Ace Leer, he was fearless so they say. If only they knew the truth. Ace grew up on the streets, his family couldn't handle his rage, neither could his foster families. He had no one, only his thoughts. That was until he was supposed to be in the 4th grade, where he saw her the first time. She did not remember him but oh, did he remember her. She was on her way to her 2nd grade class, with that sparkly princess backpack he'd never forget. She saw him sitting on the curb. Since Briella was a shy and timid girl, she wasnt sure if she could build the courage to go over. Thankfully he was the one to step up and come to her. She gave little Ace her lunch that day, it was the start of a short but beautiful friendship. For the next month she would pack extra just to make sure Ace could eat something.
Eventually Ace had to run away again before child services found him. He stayed in the new location for 2 weeks before going back to find the little girl. But, she was gone, she never came back. He thought it was because she didn't want to see him anymore. If he would've known it was because her family put her in homeschooling, maybe they could have been best friends. As said before, life doesn't go the way you want it. Life is on its own path. After that day, they never payed enough attention to see each other again. Until today.

There’s a strong visual rhythm in your storytelling that’s hard to ignore.
It naturally feels like something that could be adapted into a c0mic.
I work in this space, and your piece genuinely left an impression on me.
Would love to discuss it further if you're open.
