Moving Day
Annie started out the car window. The sky was dull with grey, and rain started to fill up the streets, washing away a few of the car marks. Annie and her family, ( the Hustons ) were moving to a different city. Annie was as nervous as heck, and the rest of her family seemed calm, which to her, was quite surprising.
Suddenly, out of the blue ( actually grey ), her father announced,” As you all know, our house is supposed to be the biggest on the block. I hope you all do well to keep it in good shape.”
Annie shivered, not because it was cold, but because of the cold tone her father had used. Finally, after what seemed like a minute, they reached their destination. The house was huge, like her dad had said, but it didn’t seem that welcoming. The doors were slightly crooked, and the house was tall, but slightly slanted. It looked like a mix of the eiffel tower, and the leaning tower of pisa. Annie sighed,” Greeeeat, all I need is a warm welcoming, and it doesn’t even give me that, let alone look like a real house.” Annie and her family then got out of the car, got all their luggage, and walked into the house.
