You could feel the howling wind pulsing along the sky, brushing through the leaves of the autumn trees. With the rain gushing on our tent that would soak you to the brim if we left. The blackness of the night mixing with our fire sizzling to give everything an ominous glow that crept upon our faces. “I don’t know how you convinced us to do this Aron.” My friend Josh remarked. He’s the kind of high school jock that you expect but a bit nicer, He has a thin nose and black hair over his cold blue eyes that could stare into your soul. Also, for some reason he is afraid of jumpscares even though he’s the star quarterback of the football team.
“Well Josh,” I said, “For starters it was supposed to be fun-in-the-sun with canoeing and hiking and…”
“Blah, blah, blah Aron. We got it” Mark said “Why don’t you get some more firewood?” My friend Mark is the nerd at our school that you would expect, but he’s anything but a basement dweller under those glasses and brown hair. He is actually very fond of sports contrary to most people’s beliefs about him.
“Yeah Aron it’s freezing out here!” Josh added.
“Fine.” I remarked as I walked into the woods. Little did I know that the simple request would change our lives forever.
