Very DARK Canterbury Tales
"This was unbearably almost lyrical and the unfathomable grace of not being in the protagonists shoes beat on me over and over again. But I could not put it down, it was like continuing to prod a growing bruise to make sure it really was sore. It needs to be published, it needs to be read, especially in these times. The ease people are churned into industrial waste is laid stark. Reading this was like reading Cormac McCarthy’s the ‘The Road’, Miranda really is in a hellscape but with moments of wild hilarity. Her writing is acutely observational and has a flair for the absurd. I will read this again, largely to better appreciate what hurried over because it was so painful to read. I have a chronic health issue which is intractable & I found myself mentally and verbally yelling ‘snap’ several times as she described her frustrations with her Health Issues. Again this needs to be read "
