They say kissing a God is like taking a shot,
Its quick and blissful,
But it takes your breath away.
It’s addictive but sour
And you can never quite decide if injecting yourself,
With the cold and icy silver goo
Is really worth the suffocating loss
And longing that occurs a split second after.
A drug that can sedate you into an eternal oblivion.
Naivety,
Oh sweet Naivety,
How I missed your isolated, raspberry juice edges which used to cushion my delicate fall
I don’t fall delicately anymore,
I am tormented and followed,
Chased down by my own ruby misery
And the addiction doesn’t clear.
The God said he would rearrange the Cosmos for me,
He could create a new universe,
Design a planet just for me.
Oh, how bitter sweet that is,
Popcorn stars, sticky and interlinked by chemistry,
But soft like butter, easily crushed by an average child.
Naivety cannot touch me here,
I told him all I ever wanted
Was to feel the soft silver and taste the rough platinum of your/his kiss.
I’m not quite sure if you’re he yet,
Eternal subjectivity.
How ephemeral, metals mould together
After being melted
And drip drip away.
Mould me into your cosmos,
Melt me and place me in this new universe,
Galaxies arranged for me in a way that you adore.
You’re hallucinogenic
Locked into your rose petal world,
But you’re a God.
Stop the golden life from dripping away between your fingertips
Speak out and reach for me,
Before the drip drip of sunshine that falls from your blood stream finally drops.
