Prologue: A Spark
Five hundred years ago a child was born into the town of cine, a small village deep within one of the largest forests in the world. This child seemed no different from any other, at least not on the surface. As they grew their true power began to show, they would heal injuries using a strange energy that bore a soft golden glow, sense when someone bore them ill will and many other things people considered extraordinary by the other villagers. However this awe did not last long, soon people turned against the child, calling it a monster and a freak. The child's own parents abandoned them in the forest hoping they would die, fortunately, the child always knew where home was, no matter how far away.
Upon returning to the village the sight the child saw was horrific and beyond abominable. The other villagers had carved up the child's parents and mounted the pieces on anything that vaguely resembled a pike, most of the fences were strewn with gore and on the gate to the child's house, the parent's heads had been mounted.
Without a second thought, that child fled, running off to a far away land never to be heard of again... or so it was thought. Five hundred years later another child is born, a descendant of the child five hundred years ago, their fate is unpredictable and without direction, what they choose to do and where they would go could very well alter the fate of the world itself.
This new beginning will change lives and bring the world to its knees, all rests on Cinder's shoulders and the choices she makes.
