Chapter 1
“Chloe hurry up,or you’re going to get lost.” I said. We are staying in California for summer vacation and Chloe chooses what we are going to do today.So of course we are in Disneyland,her favorite place on earth.But Chloe keeps wandering off to see Snow White or Rapunzel or one of the other princesses. “But Toby wants to see all the princesses”whines Chloe. Toby is a stuffed bunny that Chloe loves. Mom and Dad tried to convince her that he would get lost but Toby is practically attached to Chloe. “Well,tell him he can see them later.”
But but but..” Chloe gets ready to cry. “Let’s play I Spy.”I say interrupting her. I step up trying to keep in pace with Dad and Mom,who are walking awfully fast. Theme parks aren’t their thing or mine but they payed a lot of money on the tickets.“I spy with my little eye something red.”says Chloe bringing me out of my thoughts. “Um...that store.”I ask.There are so many things that are red here it’d be impossible to guess the one Chloe was thinking of. “No your shirt silly”Chloe says between giggles. “Oh.”I say and look down.“Okay my tu-.” “Look there is Cinderella!” Chloe screams interrupting me.She drops Toby and runs toward the princess.
As I reach for the bunny it disappears in a puff of green,blue, and pink glitter. I turn around and rush to see where Chloe is. She is staring at Cinderella. But instead of her blue gown she is wearing her rags,looking as surprised as we were.Suddenly a blast of green and black smoke come toward us. I grab Chloe and pull her into the red shop pushing her back and I run to the window. I watch as the people that were standing next to us turn into stone. A mother holding hands with her kid,a man who is very sunburned and our parents.
A woman steps out of the smoke.She has a long black dress and black horns on top of her head.Her dress is tattered and she has black boots. “Maleficent”,Chloe mutters. Then I remember who she is.The Mistress of Evil from Sleeping Beauty. I pull Chloe towards me and run to the back of the shop pushing clothes rack and mannequins out of the way.I run out the back door with Chloe right behind me. As I run out I spot Mickey’s house.I run towards it with Chloe by my side. I open the red door and enter the room and without wasting a moment I turn to lock it. Chloe starts screaming and I turn back around to.I look up and see a crowd of Disney characters. Pooh,Tiana,Peter Pan.At the front is Minnie and Daisy staring back at me. I pull Chloe back and I hear whispers throughout the crowd. “The saviors..”says one.A little young,don’t you think…”say another.
“Welcome Saviors your visit was awaited by many.A great darkness has come upon us. All the villains that Walt got rid of so long ago are coming back even worse than ever.With your help we could return things to how they once were.”Minnie tells us.“Can we have a minute to talk.”I ask. “Of course.”replys Minnie.We turn around and I talk to Chloe. “These people are crazy on the count of three you run to the door I’ll hold them off for as long as I can.” “But” she says grabbing my hand. “I want to help Minnie they need us Jackson,and besides you failed your karate class remember.” Chloe turns around and says,“We both agreed to help you but only on one condition.” “And what is that condition?” “Our mom and dad arent stone anymore.” “That can be arranged.Now follow me,we have to take you to the Masters.”
