I can stand in darkness
I can be consumed by the sheer heaviness of it
How it over powers and takes over
Or I can walk towards and stand in the light
Letting its brilliance soothe and heal me
Letting the warmth massage my soul and body
Giving me much needed relief
I can stand in the darkness and be alone
No one around only silence
Where heavy clouds abound
Or I can stand in light
Surrounded by love
Bathed in its beauty
