Prologue
Nathan screams as he watches a zombie bite his mother’s arm, his mother with tears in her eyes tells Marcus to take Nathan away as she buys them time. Marcus and Nathan exit the home and see the apocalypse unfold; the streets either empty or filled with broken cars, a huge alarm sounding from the main city and the giant bomb plane flying above them.
They run down the street, avoiding any encounters with zombies. They run and they run until they hear a loud bang coming from the city, they turn to see what has happened and see an enormous mushroom cloud glooming over where used to be the city. The mushroom cloud gets larger and the wave of destruction starts chasing them.
Marcus tells Nathan to run and they both run for their lives, they take a shortcut through fence-hopping and that’s when Marcus know that the wave will be here soon. A zombie chased after them and Marcus pushes Nathan into a wooden shed and locks it from the outside, Nathan begs Marcus to let him out, but Marcus already made up his mind.
Marcus shoves the zombie into the ground and pins it down, Nathan cries as he bangs on the door until a big blast shoves him unto the wall, knocking him out. Nathan wakes up later on, everything is quiet and he tries to kick down the door. He knows the chances of Marcus surviving that was very slim, but he knows that he could survive that.
The door finally fell and Nathan looks around for Marcus... He finds Marcus impaled on the fence along with the zombie and he cries.
