love Struck

Love. What is love? I can tell you that I’m in love with someone who I’m pretty sure doesn’t even know I exist, my name is Amanda Lana and I’m lovestruck.

“I NEED HIM, JENICA” I scream into her ear grabbing the attention of a few overworked pupils, when I see the man I adore sitting eating his turkey sandwich. “That sandwich is so lucky to be right next to him” I say giving a death stare to the sandwich in his gentle hands as I think how much I want to be in his hands.

“Come on” Jennica moves me over to him; my cheeks are screaming “IM IN LOVE WITH YOU CODY” she shoves me in next seat to him in the cafeteria. He sees me and say, “hey I know you, you’re from ap history, right? You sit next to me.”

My whole body goes numb and I feel like I’m going to vomit when I hear Jennica “yeah she really, really likes you, please talk to her” I want to murder with a pen, but before I can carry out my mission my body falls to the ground and all I can see is Cody staring down winking at me.

I wake up in the nurses’ office and sit up in the uncomfortable never been washed stained bed and I fall back in shock when I see Cody standing next to my bed looking directly at me “woah” he says with his hand on my back pulling me back up. Thanks universe if I knew that Cody was finally going to talk to me I would wear something a lot nicer maybe a pink crop top with some mom jeans or…

I’m brought out of my daydream when Cody says “so you like me then” I look down in shock and turn red then I say to myself- come on Amanda be strong be yourself ,who is this shy person- I mouth “yes” but nothing comes out so I say louder “YES” I screech Cody falls back in shock nearly falling on the ground “oh my gosh I’m sorry but yes I do like you” We laugh the whole way to chemistry talking about how Mr Johnstone and Miss Archer are definitely getting it on, I have no idea what is going to come out of this friendship but I’m happy to call him a friend now.

It’s been a week since Jennica the little devil told Cody that I like him, and I still need to murder her with a pen, but things have been perfect, we spent every day going to his favourite food spots and my favourite reading spots. He’s a lot different that I thought he was, he’s obviously gentle sweet and kind but there’s a hidden thing about him that he has opened to me about. I may not get my fairy-tale ending but at least I met the boy that I fell in lovestruck with.
