"I really loved this story a lot!! Loved all of it except for the ending!! To have Claire killed by Chadwick and her daughter kidnapped by her brother to be raised by him in poverty and during a civil war seems too cruel!! And for the story to end there and not continue?? Please??!!! How could you do this to us by leaving us hanging like this??? Please have a 2nd book to tie up the loose ends to this story and give some happiness to this story!! Claire and Thaddeus were in love but there seemed to be no time for love for them!! What is all the love and romance being saved for her daughter??? Please continue this story!!!!!"

"One of the reasons why I loved this novel so much was because of how wildly unpredictable it was. When I first started reading it I thought it would just be another cliche olden love story but it was so much more and set up such a strong foundation and world for the following 2 novels. It’s truly amazing and so emotional and I love how incredibly all the novels connect together and so well written. Brilliant work and a great author. ❤️"
