Snowflakes

Snow falling ever so softly to the ground

Small white flakes dancing from the heavens

So pure is their gentle colorless hue

Yet fragile is their frozen shape made

In winds their falling motion guided

In sweet caresses to violent currents

And as the Winter months chill and frost

These tiny little crystals layer the land

But with Spring’s dawning warmth

Away the snow melts to awakening life

Only to come once more in the cold year’s end
