Chapter 1
We were told so many things, and I’m sure you heard of the theories of the end of the world and how it might end.
People thought it was going to be Donald John Trump that started the World War III but that passed and wasn’t president anymore and the world was fine. Then in the year, 2030 people thought it was going to be this man that took over the whole world that was going to the end of our existence but he didn’t or we thought.
This man’s name is Negan McRoy. Negan looks like one of those old evil scientists in those old cartoons. He is bald with dark brown eyes and a grey mustache. He is 4,9 ft with a cane and hunched over back and if over 100 hundred years old.
Negan took over our world slowly.
He first killed the president and then gave the government loads of money, like loads, billions to step down and hand everything over. That took ten years. It took Negan ten year to have that in place and once he had it our lives were far from ours. Negan then made this big building that he had people work in. First, it was people that he knew and trusted and then he had other people, civilians, to work for him. My great-grandpa worked for him and at that time he was well known in the public eye and people feared him, so of course, humans blindly followed his rules and that’s how he to over us.
Negan first made sure to kill off thousands of people. Elders, Adults, Teens, Children, and even newborns. Killed them in cold blood and made their families watch. Then Negan set out this rule that you must only have two kids in each family but if you go over the limit then your whole family will be eliminated. People were fine with that and not a whole lot of family went over the limit and everything was fine.
Then Negan took all of our jobs. One by one everyone was working in that building, that is now across the world, that he and his henchmen made back in 2039. After all that everything was peaceful. He didn’t make any more commands and we were fine. We were fine until Marz, my twin brother and my fifth birthday.
It started off slow with lots of earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes all happening really fast, one after another.
The weirdest thing about it was that they had common factors like they would end at the same time, 6:20 pm but start at different times of each day.
Around May 4th, 2157 all the lights in the world went out, even the sun.
Everyone was still alive. We were just there looking at the sky. Wondering if the world was going to come back on. No one moved and then there was a bright light that shined so bright we had to look away and then…
The sun was turned on again.
People freaked out and Negan had to have the government that abandoned us make sure we wouldn’t go crazy. Everyone in the world had patrol. They were on every street. Day and night.
Lots of people died that day.
We had a curfew at 8:30 pm and we had to be asleep at 9:00 pm, then at 9:30 pm the patrol that is in your area will check all the houses and the rooms and see if you were asleep and if you weren’t then they would put you asleep. Not forever but until 6:30 am so you can get up and ready for school. School for children that are the age of five to twelve go to school at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and children of the age of thirteen to nineteen go to school at 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Summer started June first and work ended July first. There were no holidays, no weekends, no friends, no fun.
It was like that until June 26th. It was our tenth birthday and my mother and father got the day of work, as most parents do when it’s their children’s birthday, but you should have no other excuse why you missed a day of work, unless it’s a doctor’s written note saying you must miss.
We were blowing our ten candles out that were on our Superman cake, that our mother made the day before when there was a big ‘honk’ outside our street.
My brother, who was ten minutes before me ran and put his Superman running shoes on and I put my Cinderella running shoes on. I’m not the bigs fans of Cinderella but it’s what my mother, named Margaret, who is a black-canadian is a beautiful woman with dark brown eyes, could afford at that time. Our father joined us a few moments later.
Everyone was outside. It was around 3:30 pm and so that meant that everyone was home. The kids with the one other sibling and their mother and father were outside, looking at this big, green, army truck with ten different soldiers on it and one of them was Captain Trevor.M.Owen. Our section Caption.
“I want all your kids packed up and ready to get on the bus behind me by 5:30 after supper” Caption Owen said jumping of the army truck with a big gun.
“And anyone who objectifies will be shot on the spot”
