Darling, I see you smile at me
You're smiling lights my very soul
I just want you to know you had me at 'Hello'
You are my courage
When we are apart I am lost
I seek shelter in your warm embraces
The storms around me can never enter
In your arms I know I am complete
Everyone before you was never good enough
I don't see anything after you
You look at me
You encourage me to keep fighting
Fighting a battle that you had all along
I am a dreamer, but if my dreams are our communication
I can live another moment in this paradise
Please don't wake me up, I don't want to leave this meadow
A meadow where our hearts, and souls are together forever
I can see you in my dreams
Never aging, barely over the years
When I frown that is because I failed you
I failed you in many ways
I took time that could never be gotten back
I thought it was more fun in greener pastures
But the grass is dying rapidly
Dying leaving me with only a shattered heart
A heart full of hopes that may never come
Hopes that I fear will never live again
Only in my dreams I am myself

But I can blame no one else but myself
I got caught in a trap
A web of lies
Now I am just a willing dreamer
Dreaming things that are forever out of my grasp

Then maybe this string of nightmares will end and I will once again gain acceptance.
