"I really enjoyed the characters in this book. You feel like you know them or have met them - you really get a sense of the camaraderie of the housemates. I also love books which stays with the man narrator and doesn't switch sub-plots every chapter. Being from NJ, I could also relate to the setting in the Pine Barrens. It had a nice pace and kept me interested such that I read it in a single day. ***SPOILER ALERT*** My only complaint was that there were too many twists at the end and a couple seemed a bit convoluted - but that's just my personal opinion, I see in other reviews that people really enjoyed all the twists."
