Brilliant read could not put it down
"Loved the book but some times there was too much information to take in. But that was my only thing and I call it a thing because I think that it may be my brain 😜. Loved it, it covered so many issues and loved reading it through the characters eyes. The story line was sensitive to the characters issues but had a great sense of humour throughout. Also the story flowed well and didn't have holes in making it a brilliant read! Thank you 😊"
Book Review – Never Look Back by Jeremy J Fry
"Book Review – Never Look Back by Jeremy J Fry Never Look Back is a great read with extensive plot development and subplots that keep the reader on their toes. The characters definitely did their fair share of driving the story as well. There were strong female leads and male characters who I also came to enjoy. Specifically, Bruce and Odera were a great pair throughout the story. They were the reason I was kept on my toes; I really enjoyed their relationship pan out in Act 2. The drama through a character was a nice touch to the overall story. The author has a great writing style. He pays sharp focus to the details that matter in such world-building and character personalities and makes sure not to overdo the description and wear out the reader. There was a great balance between serious and humorous scenes that drove the plot forward. From the first page, the writing style did not disappoint, especially with the dialogue. The background of the characters that were told stuck out to me the most. There were hints here and there of their stories, but I really enjoyed getting to know Kira. She was a fierce fighter and female character and getting to know her made me feel as a reader that I was right alongside her in some parts of the story. Opening the story with action and vulnerability in the main character really set the tone in a way author does not normally do. It definitely left a mark on me on this unique entry to the story, and I am inspired to be on the lookout for more original first chapters like Never Look Back’s. Even the book summary before I dove into it does justice to the author’s writing style like briefly spoken before. The overall suspense of the book is fantastic, and this should definitely be added to your To Be Read list if it is not already on it!"

"Loved it!..... "
Loved it
"Couldn't see anything wrong with the story. And hey if you want to argue about it read it and come back to me. But what I have to say about it is perfect characters, great emotional manipulation, and the background of the world is exactly what I wanted to imagine in a story."
Never Look Back
"Another well written story, excellent suspense and drama.qell done, couldn't put it down...again!"
‘Victim of sexual assault, Odera struggled to receive a tenuous balance that permitted her to face the world on her terms.’
"Never Look Back – by Jeremy J Fry. Immediately this book plunges you in at the deep end. If you enjoy a strong lead as well as that internal battle that characters have in order to achieve or survive, you will enjoy this book. The colloquial language of the characters is realistic and relatable as the reader is immediately taken to the action and a tense physical altercation between the protagonist and two male assailants. Jeremy Fry’s unique style of colloquial language, setting and pace made this an exciting read. I really liked the storyline and think the protagonists were well written. A good balance of speech and setting was evident, which helped with the overall imagery of the book. On a personal note, I particularly enjoyed the inclusion of the name ‘Thaddeus,’ which was my grandfather’s name. There are lots of paragraphs where we see the internal thoughts of characters – useful to see their character traits and the train of thought. The drama in this book is well written, keeping the reader on the edge of their seats. A thoroughly enjoyable read from start to finish! "

Never Look Back
"I kept expecting the main characters, Bruce Garland and Odera Mansbridge, to show up in real life. Seldom does one expect to enjoy such masterful character development. At the beginning of the story, I could not imagine these to unlikely people finding common ground. Halfway through the book, I could not picture them anywhere else but together, even if they hadn't arrived there yet themselves. The skill with which the author casts these two unlikely individuals made me question my own biases and perspectives about tragedy, trauma and relationships. Never Look Back contains strong female characters fulfilling roles traditionally written for males. The author succeeded in breaking stereotypes with such panache that I cannot imagine Kira, the female samurai, being played by a male. Without realising when it happened, I found myself caring about the book's characters. Their sense of humour and the way in which they tackled their tragic pasts made me sit up and smile and laugh outright on a number of occasions."
