Chapter One - Dreaming
Once upon a time, there was a thirteen year old girl, who felt lonely. Her name was Samantha, and she never had that many friends, in fact, never had a friend in her life. Her Father died in Iraq, while fighting for our country, her Mother worked all day, and never saw her daughter because of it. Samantha was scared. Every night, she would have nightmares,
she was unsteady at school, she use to look at girls with their chihuahuas In their designer bags. She was alone, she thought, "What is the purpose of being here, if I'm always and forever going to be alone." She never had the happiest family, but she did in her dreams.
Samantha would draw pictures - her Mother and Father holding hands as Samantha played at the beach with her little Shiba Inu, named Sasha. She dreamed about living in a beach house, right next to the ocean, she lived in Orlando, Florida, where it was always warm. Having the time of her life, going to school and having friends, and having the most beautiful dog in the world.
It was the first day of 8th grade for Samantha, her alarm went off as she opened her eyes and wished that she was still in her dream, instead of being in reality. She put on a blue dress that had matching bow in back of her hair. She slipped on tiny black high heels as she looked at herself in the mirror,
"I don't need makeup," she smiled, but slowly frowned.
"Samantha," Her Mother dropping her off at school, "I hope school goes well for you, you have everything? Your schedule? your lunch definitely."
"Yes Mother," She opened her door, "I'm fine, see you later tonight," she waved.
Samantha walks up to the front doors of her school as she looks up, "Halsted Middle School," she read. That's when she realized that she wished that she had her Father, right by her side.
