"The book and story line is very good and keeping you intrigued . The writing mistakes and grammar are atrocious. Those alone mAke it hard to follow sometimes or having to reread lines multiple times to understand what is trying to be said. As well as just distracting from the story in general because you have to reread or constantly think of the errors . If those were fixed the story would be so much better. A few times explanation words are a bit cheesy or thought of better ones to replace them but the plot itself is very good !!! I like the story alone . "

Refreshing!

"The old style of writing is beyond good for today's modern writing styles. I loved the plot and the characters and I loved the way the character development was done. It was gradual and good. Not too good to believe nor too little to leave the book half read. The grammar according to my reading experience was almost perfect except the occasional your-you're mistake that everyone does. The plot could be smarter. Smart in a way that the main character is a born leader, They can be smarter and could have more ways to get to know about their enemies' plans more easily. I think that that character has more scope in the field of being smart enough to at least figure out some things that their enemy could be planning. (Tried to be as vague as I could so as to not give any spoilers :) ) I loved reading this book as it gives a good view of how times used to be well before my great-grandparents were born or something like that. The stage set for the story is also very good in terms of the language used. I could totally imagine everything happening right in front of me. It was very believable and slow paced. But the slow pace helped a lot in the unfolding of the story. A very good story I read in a while. You should totally publish it. I would no doubt buy it. Thank you for giving enough time and hard work for creating this good story."

"Finally god...... I was tired of Charissa doubting Frederick's love... yes.. All's well that ends well.... i was getting really downright agitated at the author because the suspense was held really well on how things will work out in the epilogue and i just wanted them to have a happy ending.. And the ending lines were fabulous.. i loved it 😆😆"

"I give this novel FIVE STARS ! This novel is worth reading from the beginning to the end! The plot and conflicts in this story are very smartly integrated. The language facility is a little odd , but i guess this was done on purpose, given the novel's set era. Other than that, this should definitely be published!! I really think that if you truly read word for word, in this story, you'll still probably keep guessing until the end! I know I did. I would recommend this novel for those who truly love romance/ dramas. I honestly did get mad one day, because the two main love interests were giving each other a hard time! But still, give this one-of-a-kind novel a peek...you're not going to want to take your eyes of the screen!!"

decent plot

"The story is pretty good, so is the writing style. But it needs much work on the technical aspect. Some errors related to seeming homonyms (penchant vs pansion) and expressions (o pooh?). Also, the character development for both Frederick and Charissa could be much better if they yelled at each other less. An earl supposed to be the protagonist should have more strength of morals than to lose temper/manners everytime a calamity strikes, it just makes him appear unworthy. The overall dialogues is also off, with many modern expressions, and not the smart ones, creep in. However, the story itself was very nice, kudos for thinking that up. Thank you for an entertaining, even if sometimes annoying, read. "
