Chapter One - Some Brother
My little brother Andy never cared for me. He was ten years old but he usually slept in my Mom and Dad’s room. He has a huge bedroom, a big tv, and an Xbox. I have a small room, a old tv, and no Xbox, but a lot of stuffed animals. The reason I have a lot of stuffed animals is because I am alone.
Every time we go out for dinner, I look at my brother like he is my next target. I look at him, I’m always told on, in trouble or yelled at because of him. He is my little brother. And I hate that he is my little brother. I wish I never had a little brother but a twin sister. I look at Andy, “eww.. He’s a monkey and a elephant combined,” but really, he is a predator -
waiting to squash me like a bug, just to get the attention. It’s like I was never born, because my parents care for Andy more then they care for me. My name might be Addison, but it seems like Andy took my place as the only sibling in the family. I go to school, and I am looked at. Just because I wear makeup doesn’t mean they should ask why.
It’s because I am alone. I sleep in my bed at night, and I sleep with nothing but stuffed animals. I am thirteen, but my Dad says that I should be cleaning my room instead of talking to my stuffed animals and drinking Capri-sun Juice Pouches. But I do it because I am alone. What’s the point of having company, when you have nobody to talk to, and then you would
realize that you are alone. Squashed like a bug. Been kicked out of their place, or if I should say, where they’re supposed to be. Alone. The word is going through my head.. Alone. My parents like my brother better, and I can already tell that I am going down the wrong path because he is more smarter than me.
and I hate the fact that my brother says he’s smarter than me because he loves to brag about how smart he is. I have a special math class, he says I don’t try, but I do try, multiplication and division is hard. I use to have friends who were really, really smart, and they didn’t want to be my friend anymore because I am not smart. I could see it in their eyes that they hated me.
Just because I wasn’t perfect, or smart like all of the other students. I sucked at everything. I sucked at being a friend, I sucked at being a sister, and I sucked at even trying to be one of them, because I’m not, and no matter how hard I try to be them, I’ll still be alone. Nobody wants a noob like me.
