Sins of the Past
Legends of vampires and lycanthrope, have existed for millennia. Tales of these monstrous creatures who feasted upon human blood or taking the form of an oversized wolf. They’re in legends, myths, and stories that were in everyday lives; creeping into minds, haunting people’s nightmares. No one knows how these legends originally started, or who started them... only that they were spreading.
Over the years more and more details were building up about the monstrous creatures. Some were lies, while others were filled with truth. Of course, mankind didn’t know about the secret society hidden in plain sight, consisting of the monstrous creatures, who called themselves the Unnaturals. The two-faced society were always at each other’s throats, being held together by an unstable alliance. For they had one thing in common that will never change; their belief of mankind being weak and unable to handle what were truly in the shadows.
Their council consisted of the Vaulmer, Raevin, and Galashiels royal families, who were getting tired of hiding. Perhaps the years of pint-up rage lead to the Unnaturals lashing out at humanity. And thus, no longer worried of concealing themselves.
As for the world of humanity, that humans had been living in, at that moment collapsed, and everything changed. Yet the realization that it was too late came to mankind like the ground rushing up to break their fall. Even then, some humans kept telling themselves “Don’t be afraid, it’s all going to be okay.” Either they were completely exhausted from the change, or they were simply afraid to wake up and face reality at that point.
Before long, a global war broke out. It was a war for land and power, but after time passed the war was only for the sake of fighting. The war’s effects leaked everywhere, violence spawned revenge, which fueled more violence, driving crime rate even higher. Theft, arson, brutality, and murder; the violence went off the charts. Eventually, the war’s effect grew so much in strength and scale that it threw the world into nonstop bloodshed. A war that tainted the world with chaos. The war grew out of control, becoming a monster that swallowed the entire world. Mankind’s hope would have run out if it were not for the Nachlite: genetically modified human halflings.
Narrator’s choice:
You’re probably wondering about the werewolves, to put it simply, they went extinct long ago, evolution happened. Most of you whom are reading this might think that lycanthropes and werewolves are the same, of course those thoughts are false.
To kill a lycan, one should have to sever the spine from its body, they cannot be killed by using silver. A werewolf, however can: by either piercing them in the head or the heart. For a werewolf, transformation takes place on a full moon day, and they cannot restrict the transformation. Lycan’s can shift at any time and in any place. Unlike the werewolf, lycans are said to be smarter and a bit more muscular. Yet still werewolves were the dangerous creatures of their time, no one dared to be near them.
Let’s hope none still exist
