But seriously, I loved Clara, I loved Charles and I loved the suspense that wraps around it like a fur-lined cloak. The characters all seemed fairly realistic-a welcomed change in the literary world, it was an easy, fun read that kept me hooked and I would recommend it to any mystery lover on Inkitt."

"Despite the story feeling rather slow in the beginning, the author did a good job introducing each character and leading from event to event. I found myself wanting to know exactly what had each character where they were and desperately searching for answers- the suspense was outstanding and beautifully balanced! Sentence structure was well varied and I felt like I was reading a professional work. I do wish a bit more time bad been spent on the history of the mansion, but nothing felt rushed or drawn out too far. I highly recommend for an afternoon read!"
