Legend - Chapter I

Dance Fire!

Insane! You are doing the most absolutely worse way of presenting your self!

I Think everyone in Haven city is going to laugh at this costume! Its 25th of October AND no one is going to hand us any candies.

“Don’t worry about it, this costume is only for comedy purposes, I only wore it because it gets me somewhere, Besides some people were screaming” – Lynn

“You know that they’re basically screaming at you because you are Threatening them to give you some or else you’ll burn their houses. Stop acting like your character, just be nice.”

Lynn Laughed as I see her mischievous eyes planning for something stupid that probably she will be too lazy to do it. Never the less time is running, it’s already 8 pm and we should be home about midnight. I absolutely despise to sleep at that time and going with Lynn will only cause me troubles.

Lynn advised me to fake a body pillow in my bedroom as if I’m sleeping to not alert my parents, I Did that to avoid them from annoying me in this special night. And so far it’s going well as we ran off to home asking for candies.

It Seems the street wasn’t ready for a Halloween. No one is really handing in any candies. We got little bit stressed about the situation as we grew in the cold breeze of the night. The sun was setting down as people were coming back home from their jobs. The spirit was all gone and sought for a boring night, But Lynn was not satisfied, Neither was I.

“Stupid you are! We shouldn’t fake our sleep, We need to comeback home, Im freezing, i dont want to have some stupid cold in the morning before school just because you wanted some candies. I Cant even enter my home, my parents will ground me for weeks for this act.”

Lynn was looking at me, She seemed hurt for what i said. I Was looking at her in a bore but then she came up with an idea, I wondered what it is. She came up and tried to make up a story to survive the night without coming back home, As we don’t really want to come back home, besides essentially we ran off from home. There’s no way back.

“I’m sorry alright, I didn’t expect this night to go like this, But i have an undercard.

There’s a legend I heard about from old people’s retirement home. I Was visiting my grandfather while he was breathing harshly towards my face while saliva flies by as he was telling me his childhood scary stories. I Thought oh well its an another monster with claws and dropping desire for delicious human meat. But he told me a different odd story. He said that there was a cabin in the farthest west of haven city’s forest where he went to with his younger more cooler friends that are surely not alive right now.”

She told me that her “younger version grandfather” had gone deep into the forest and found a Furious fire inside the cabin like a Red bull running towards its own reddish hellfire flesh. A Dancing fire in the midst of the forest waiting to burn the whole forest and the city. Although he never came near to it for the fear that it will burn him alive before touching it. They ran off far, knowing that there’s no one living in the woods, He was in absolute terror running away from the fire, and till this day he is still afraid that someday the fire is going to catch the forest and burn everyone whose there alive.

I Looked at her, and the story seemed legit coming from an old man. Since I heard this story before, and when im at the window, Rarely i could find a fire in the forest, But this story might be true.

An hour has passed by after she told her story about the fire. We walked in the cold street expecting a holiday, But there was nothing. And there is no option to come back home at this time. Although Its bedtime at Nine o’clock. Never the less we walked till the end of 5th avenue strt. We have gone to the edge of the street with a roundabout, But Lynn insisted to go farther inside the forest. We were freezing cold, trying to survive the night without us coming back to home and getting caught from running away.

“You know we need fire, The legend could be true , We should venture inside the forest and hopefully find the cabin.” – Lynn

She was serious when she said it, I Was bursting out of laughter from this mysterious fire that “burns forever”. But then It could be possible. I Remembered there we’re camp in the forest when I looked at the window, Maybe today we’re going to find that fire.

We were brought in cold shivering body while walking towards the forest, Hearing the howls of the wolves and owls, so the rubbles of the bushes as we were walking towards the west. The time came about 10 O’clock as we ventured through. We were in the immense cold as Lynn regretted this idea she came to tell, She felt more afraid than excited to find the fire. I Was more worried that we might not find it and get lost into the woods. I Still wished that I was in the bed right now, But mistakes should be held responsibly.

The colors Shift’s inside the forest, It became more bluish and dark. Lynn started to cry. I was oddly surprised that she did, Then I asked why; then she replied.

“I Wasn’t expecting this, I Thought we were going to be filled with candies and be lazy at home with a cheesy scary tv show while we cry in laughter for how stupidly scary it is, But im cold … And the forest is getting more Lighter to see like there is a light buzzing me around”

She was missing alot things from usual days of pre-Halloween, but the analogy of the buzzing light took my attention, I feel that too! and so I notified her too that this might be a Sign of the fire.

Shocked she was trying to ignore the fact of her stupid grandfather story. But she couldn’t let off her fear and curiosity. She began to regret everything and backed away slowly from going into West any longer. It’s about midnight now, and we were always home at that time, either being in sleepover or playing a video game, But not in the forest by midnight while a light is flashing by. It was a terrifying scenery to see the world itself change shapes and colors.

We took our leap and headed towards the light, We were mere children venturing through a legend. It was so stupid but we held ground because of our curiosity. We came close and found a dark rugged cabin that looked like it was drowned with soggy wood all around.

I Was afraid at this point. What are the chances that there is a cabin and a light in the midst of the forest!. I Figured it was the fire that the grandfather was talking about.

We were in absolute terror. We were laughing at fear at home but this is the real world. It almost felt that we were adults regretting the first part of our lives, But were too young to be feared.

We came close, It felt as if we were dried in the inside ready to be eaten by the fire. But she took the leap. She opened the cabin!. It’s a fire! The room was filled in shadows and old greenish mosses sticking up to the surface of the cabins wood.

Fire it was rubbled and ready to be extinguished! with bags all around it. It seemed like there was a party here. Why are we hearing a siren? Did our parents found out? We became more confused about where did these people go; so Whom owns these ragged bags. And why is there siren? it seemed like they ran off. The fire was just an idea that kept us going. There’s more into it. This is not a scary story anymore. The legend was a mere fake.

I See the most valid option is to come back, But I hear sirens, They might think I’m the person who they’re looking for.

Lynn was more relieved about the cabin, that it was made by a human and the fire brought by a man and not some monster. We should find who made this, Sirens are following and the sound grows stronger upon us.

The best valid option is to run and find these people who made the fire. Its past midnight, It’s going to be even more crazier.
