Prologue
I am moon kissed or moon blessed they would say. My mom is the sister of the moon goddess and fell in love with a beta and they soon had my sister and me, Roseline Eva Black and Riverslend Evangeline Black.
My aunt the moon goddess adored us very much, blessing us just like those who brought great pleasure to her. She would visit us in our dreams and play with us when she was little. She always asks about our mom since she was forbidden to ever talk to her. When our mom fell in love with our dad and conceived us she was banished from the moon for breaking the rules.
My sister Rose was the complete opposite of me, she was gorgeous, nice, and had a laugh that just made you want to keep a smile on her face. While I was beautiful I liked to be on the more wild side. Rose had pure silver hair that fell to her waist and amber eyes. She had tan skin but in certain lighting, it shone silver much like mines.
I had slightly dark silver hair that fell almost mid back and I had sharp blue eyes that made me look like a doll and I absolutely hated it. I was taller than my sister, almost a good three inches, she was short but curvier than me.
People envied us, our perfect skin, luscious hair, and creamy faces. We had it all, even our blood was silver goddamit! But one thing we knew we would never have was a mate.
When I first heard that the moon goddess could not bless us with a mate, my sister and I were so devastated we cried for two nights. My own existence meant nothing except for my friends and family.
"Miss. Black, would you like to entertain us with your daydream?" Mrs. Daily announced loudly next to my ear.
Slowly blinking into reality stretched before looking straight into Mrs. Daily's face. Goddess, she really is the devil, stupid human teachers act like they weren't taught an ounce of respect. Smirking when an idea popped into my head, slowly rising cowering over the human I sauntered to the front of the room and leaned against her desk.
My sister groaned having read my thoughts and used her perfectly manicured nails to demonstrate how dead I would be if I didn't stop. I shrugged her off and looked directly at my partner in crime Jailya looking at her excited smirking face. Mrs. Daily ushered me to speak.
"Well, I was thinking about how an old slug, like Mrs. Daily, found a man. As she freaking looks like a twig," I said in a bored tone causing everyone to laugh and a red-looking Mrs. Daily marched over to me.
"Riverslend have a fun trip to the principal young lady!" She screeched shoving my bag in my hands and rushing me out of the classroom. I winked at Rose and walked lazily to the principal's office.
