Chapter 1: Second First Meeting

Jimin threw his head back laughing as he watched Taehyung slip on a small patch of ice, falling into the snow. He of course immediately checked on his friend afterwards, but it was still funny. Seeing that Taehyung was okay and not hurt, Jimin offered his hand to help the boy up, trying his best to suppress the giggles trying to escape. Anyone looking on would’ve thought the two were twelve year old boys based on their antics, but in reality, they were both twenty-one years old.

“You’re mean,” Taehyung whined, pouting and crossing his arms across his chest.

“No I’m not, you’re just clumsy,” Jimin replied trying to hold in his giggles, but failing miserably.

“Says you,” Taehyung mumbled under his breath in response.

“Hey!” Jimin had an expression of mock hurt as he playfully slapped Taehyung’s arm.

The two begin walking down the sidewalk again occasionally glancing at the shops the the side of them in case they passed something of interest. Taehyung opened his mouth to say something to Jimin, but he turned to realize he was no longer by his side. He turned around completely to see Jimin a little ways back, peeking through a glass window into a coffee shop, so he walked carefully, as not to slip on any ice again, back to join his friend.

“Tae, I’m thirsty,” Jimin said pointing into the shop.

“That’s nice, but usually hot drinks don’t quench your thirst,” Taehyung replied matter-of-factly.

“No, but that hot barista might,” Jimin replied, practically drooling as he gawked at the cute barista behind the counter who, luckily, had not yet noticed Jimin’s staring. He had black hair that covered his forehead, and a consistent pout whenever he spoke. Absolutely beautiful, Jimin thought to himself.

“Fine,” Taehyung huffed, as he made his way to the door, gesturing for Jimin to go in ahead of him. Jimin excitedly walked (more like ran) by Taehyung and straight to the line that led to the counter where the cute barista was currently taking an order from an orange haired man.

Taehyung joined Jimin in the line, but didn’t even bother trying to initiate a conversation with him, as he was too busy creepily staring at (or as Jimin would later attempt to justify it as admiring) the barista, who Taehyung had to admit was indeed attractive, but just not his type. He was more into boys with cute smiles, but the barista did not seem to be smiling any time soon. He just kept speaking with a pout, which Jimin, of course, found to be charming and irresistible. Speaking of cute smiles…

Taehyung felt a tap on his shoulder from behind him, so he immediately turned around to see who was trying to get his attention. When he turned around, he was greeted by what had to be the most adorable bunny smile he had ever seen in his twenty one years of life.

“Hi,” the bunny boy said shyly. He had brown hair that was parted, cute bunny teeth, and a sharp jawline that did not seem to match his overall aura. He also appeared to be around Taehyung’s age, maybe a little younger.

“I see your friend there staring at the barista,” the unnamed boy stated.

“Yeah. He’s incorrigible.”

“Well, he’s my friend and his name is Yoongi in case he wanted to know,” the boy offered.

“I’ll definitely tell him. Later though. He’ll get mad if I interrupt his stare-fest,” Taehyung chuckled shyly, which was weird as Taehyung was not a very shy person in general. Something about this boy made him shy and the fact that he laughed at his statement made him blush.

“Well, Namjoon here is visiting his boyfriend,” the still unnamed boy said pointing to the tall boy behind him who had the most endearing dimples.

“Y-Yoongi’s your boyfriend?” Taehyung questioned, worrying that his friend was about to unintentionally play homewrecker. The bunny boy laughed, which caused Taehyung to blush in both embarrassment and at the adorable sound of said bunny boy’s laugh.

“No, he’s not. Jin is. He’s the owner, he has pink hair.”

“Also he’s taller,” Namjoon added with a dimpled smile. “Much taller.”

“O-of course.” Taehyung mentally scolded himself for both jumping to conclusions and stuttering.

“I’m Jungkook,” the finally named boy said with a smile as he offered a hand for a handshake.

“Taehyung,” he replied, accepting the handshake, but not looking away from Jungkook’s chocolate brown eyes. I could get used to this.

“Tae, c’mon, we’re next,” Jimin urgently stated gesturing his friend forward.

“Next!” the cute barista called, prompting Jimin to step forward, his signature eye smile prominent.

Jimin told the boy his order and was proud when he only stumbled over his words once.

“Can I get a name for the order?” the barista asked, only looking up once to try and seem polite.

“Park Jimin.”

The barista seemed to hesitate for a moment as he looked up from the cup he was about to write on. He looked Jimin up and down, causing the silver-haired boy to gulp in nervousness.

“I only needed the first name.”

“But what if there’s another Jimin?”

The barista just rolled his eyes and got to work making Jimin’s drink.

---

Jimin and Taehyung were sitting at one of the small tables inside the coffee shop, Jimin enjoying his beverage while Taehyung just sat as he didn’t order anything. Jungkook, Namjoon, and a pink-haired male who Taehyung could only assume was ‘Jin’ were all across the coffee shop. Namjoon and Jin looked like they were flirting it up while Jungkook was trying not to look awkward while blatantly third-wheeling.

“So do you even know the barista’s name?” Taehyung asked Jimin, purposely withholding the information.

“No, but that’s not gonna stop me!” Jimin cheered optimistically.

“Well you’re lucky that I do. It’s Yoongi. I found out from the cute bunny boy behind us, Jungkook. He’s friends with him or something.”

“Yoongi?” Jimin asked, much quieter this time. “What’s his surname?”

“I don’t know, I can ask Jungkook.” Taehyung took out his phone and quickly texted Jungkook who immediately responded and shot Taehyung a smile from across the shop which Taehyung of course reciprocated.

Taehyung:

Hi! Do you know what Yoongi’s surname is? (Jimin wants to know)

Bunny Boy Kookie🐰💜:

Hi! It’s Min. And we should hang out sometime😊

Taehyung:

Thank you! (and yes we should😊)

“It’s Min. And we should hang out sometime.” Taehyung quoted.

“We’re hanging out right now?”

“Yeah, I know, that’s what Kookie said.”

Min Yoongi...huh.
