Summary

Everyone knows you don't always get what you ask for. After all, how could you? When there's a little darkness in all of us? Glorianna’s mouth was suddenly pried open, a few drops of water like substance flowed down her throat. It tasted like honey and flowers but she didn’t have time to suaver it. A burning like sensation suddenly took over her body. She felt like she was on fire, a sudden thirst overcame her, causing her to collapse to the forest floor. Her eye’s filled with water that slowly flowed down her cheeks, she tried to call for help but no sound left her. Her mouth opened for gasps of air but everything seemed futile, no amount of air could take away the pain and burning sensation. Her eyes flew to the night sky as she laid on her back, gripping her stomach and clenching her throat. She slowly saw the images around her fading, her world sinking into complete and utter darkness, she tried to fight it but she was no match for the force pulling her away.

Prologue

Arcadia

Kingdom of Reynes

"Seraphina"

Glorianna Trakas Vasiliou , wife of Santiago Vasiliou, who is the king of the kingdom of Reynes, stroll in the forest came to a sudden halt when she heard the soft whisper of a name.

She looked around but could not find the source of the sound, all that existed around her were the trees that blew calmly in the wind and a stream in the far distance.

The creatures that occupied the forest were unusually quiet but that did not seem frightening when there were rumors of an incoming force, a force so dark and powerful all the realms were on the tip of their toes with anticipation.

A sigh escaped her lips then she began her stroll again, gently massaging her shoulders from all the stress she had faced this week, slightly wondering if she was hearing things because of it.

"Seraphina"

Again she heard the whisper of the name, now certain she was not hearing things she stopped and looked around but still nothing out of the ordinary.

“Hello?”

"Name her Seraphina"

“Whose there? who said that? Answer me now or face the consequences. Show yourself!”

The wind picked up and whirled around her, like a mind of it’s own the shape of a man was formed within the depths of the unusual force. Her brown hair whipped around her face, slightly preventing her from seeing the scene unfold. The gown she wore threatened to expose her skin as she quickly grab a hold of it and tried to hold her footing against the wind whose force seems to be lifting her off the ground.

"I am Anemoi , God of the wind. The time has come when you’ll have a daughter and you will name her Seraphina.” His voice was deep and windy, giving off the impression of a fierce warrior.

“What? You must be misunderstanding, I am a barren woman, cursed from in the womb by an evil witch, I cannot have children. Now leave from here at once or you will not survive my wrath!”

A chuckle escaped from the wind like form, its breath gently caressing the hair on her head and providing a calming effect.

"No wonder they picked you, you’re a wild fire.” The atmosphere around her became still but the wind still blew around her. She stood in utter amazement of what was happening to her.

“It’s in your blood and you must accept your faith, name your child Seraphina or the Gods will deal with you.” The wind slowly began to decelerate, fading back into nothingness but before it completely stilled a locket was placed in her hands.

"When the child is born she shall wear this, never take it off.”

Realm of Xibalba

Kingdom of Niflheim

A growl tore from her mouth after watching the events unfold through her Cristal ball. Roaring hot fury pumped through her veins and over took her every action as she began throwing objects against the wall. She gripped her table which consisted of various rare items, flipping it over causing them to hit against the cold hard floor, anger clouding her better judgment.

“No!”

“This cannot be!”

After all they took from her they were not satisfied, the Gods had to break the one thing that had her sated for now. She was willing to wait before showing them what she was capable of but now they were forcing her hand.

No one messes with Rowena and gets away with it. And certainly not Glorianna. She’ll pay for what she and her ancestors did, nothing can stop what she has planned for her. Nothing.

A cruel smirk itched it’s way onto her face, she’ll make them pay, pay for everything they cost her, even if it’s the last thing she’ll do. Her form slowly slipped away into the darkness, it’s gentle hands greeting her with ease, caressing her supple skin akin to a lover, as if they were meant to be, then she vanished.

Your writing congers up defined & tangible visual imagery in the reader that's quite powerful. One note - a couple of spelling errors (we all have them, but if it helps), under Seraphina section, 'Whose there?' should be who's. Secondly, although I think I like your spelling better because it visually relates to 'suave' is suaver, I believe should be savour.
