I walk into a cage of landscaped roof

and flavored fumes,

dimly lit corners of sombreros and welded reptiles on the ceiling,

in a town of murals where cash is king from past crimes history.

A rainbow feathered bird sits on a perch by the door

daring for a cup of tea where time stands still

from a world of counterfeit smiles and organic greed.
