Prologue
The council was for a change quiet,free of the chaotic chatter it’s usually filled with.the shock of the news hung in the air,everything suffocatingly still for me.
Zeus looked at me with enlarged eyes,eyes that were still as enchanting as the day he courted me but alas everything was different,I was no more a challenge to him that he craved to win,I was merely there to keep the house warm for him as he carelessly struts around with different mistresses forgetting that he promised himself to me the day he flew into my life.He doesn’t seem to see the gawking gazes of the bystanders as he has his adventures,doesn’t seem to care that I’m slowly letting go of something I was the only one holding on to.
He asked me to repeat myself in a voice that of a man ,but he was no man he was a god. “Repeating myself won’t kill what’s true,I’m pregnant”
Tired of waiting for his reply,I turned away and walked out of the room,leaving my husband and our two sons speechless.
