Chapter 1
Myrainie was walking home from school and she had stayed after school to finish a test so It was getting dark when she was walking home. She was the only one on the street at this time. All the sudden, she gets pulled into a dark alleyway, and her blue necklace glows that her mother gave her when she was very young. The unknown attacker tried to take it as Myrainie pulls out pepper spray and sprays the creature.
The unknown creature backs off and says,“I will get that necklace!” as Myrainie runs as fast as she can tripping over herself. She gets home and tells her mother, her mother panics and tells Myrainie to get in the car.
Myrainie´s mother starts to speak, “I´ve been keeping this a secret as long as I can…you´re the daughter of Poseidon!” she says.
¨What are you talking about?! The greek god Poseidon?!¨ Myrainie asks.
¨Yes I know it may be hard to believe but it’s true now we must go to Camp Half blood.¨ says Myrainie´s mother.
They arrived at Camp Half blood,a big huge place and in the inside it looked less like a camp as it did from the outside it’s like an allusion, Myrainie was still very confused, as they walked in seeing creatures and what looked to be normal chrildren and teens just like her.
“Myrainie, you have to stay here to be safe away from the dangerous creatures that are after you!” Myrainie’s mother stated.
“What monsters?! What’s going on!?” Myrainie asked confused.
Her mother, Clare proceeded to say, “You’re half goddess and half human so you are a half blood and you are safest here away from the monsters because you are a half blood they are after you! I must leave for your safety! ”
“What?! No! Don’t leave me here!” Myrainie yelled.
“I have to! Myrainie, promise me you’ll be strong for me?” Clare proposed.
“I will, I love you mom…” Myrainie cried, tears building up in her beautiful blue eyes.
“I love you too...be safe.” Myrainie’s mother sighed.
A counselor’s came and guided me to my cabin which was number three.
It looked really different compared to the others it was huge and metallic looking and it was a very pretty blue color. I then walk in and see a boy in the cabin laying down reading. I set my things down and I turn around and see the boy walking towards me.
“H-Hi…” he says shyly.
“Hi, my name’s Myrainie, what’s your name?” I curiously ask.
“Im Percy it’s nice to meet you,” He smiled
“I just got here and i’m new would you show me around?” I asked pleadingly.
“Yeah sure.” he said simply.
Percy first showed me around the cabin, that lead up to him showing me the whole campus but I didn’t mind it was fun it felt like I had known him forever. I could tell this was gonna be a nice friendship.
Percy went to go to the bathroom all the sudden I see a red headed girl following him. I curiously keep my eye on her, soon she was going to be out of my view so I started to sneakily follow her.
*5 Minutes Later *
I see her walking into the bathroom, the one Percy was in! I run over there as fast as I can! I busted through the door to the red headed girl grabbing Percy by his shirt!
“Let him go or else!” I screamed
“Haha or what? You little twerp,” She laughed
I charged at her slamming her into the wall, Percy got free of her grip.
“That’s what!” I scowled at her.
Percy and I walked back to our cabin leaving her still on the floor against the wall.
“Wow that was amazing!” Percy smiled thankingly.
“Thanks, to be honest I didn’t know I had that strength until now, something just kicked in,” I stated still surprised.
“Also thank you for saving me and if I may ask how did you know I was in trouble?”
“No problem and I saw her following you so I kept my eye on her and then I ended up seeing her go into the bathroom you were in and I ran as fast as I could,” I explained.
“It’s a good thing you did that” Percy said thankfully.
“Well I’m gonna go to sleep, goodnight.” Percy yawned.
“Okay goodnight.” I simply said.
*A week later*
All Percy and I did was practice, we were practicing for the tournament, it was Capture the Flag. They had a reward of getting to do fun activities and get candy and snacks that aren’t normally allowed in the camp. It was finally the day of the tournament and Percy had trained for this day for two weeks. Myrainie trained as well and was pretty good for being new.
Percy and I were on the same team, which was the blue team. We got ready and headed out to the huge field where it was being held. Then it started, Percy and I stuck together the whole time. There was only a few of Red teams people left. All the sudden the red headed girl came out with five teammates and Percy bolted away and soon I got cornered. I fought off the red heads teammates, she was the only one left. She knocked me down but all the sudden, Percy hits her from behind and finished her off.
“Thank you Percy,” I say whole heartedly.
“No problem! I hope you didn’t think I left you for dead.” He said curious.
“I kinda, sorta did…” I said quietly.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to do that but I got nervous so I bolted thinking you were still near or behind me but, when I looked back I saw you getting cornered so I hid behind that big rock over there,” he said pointing at the huge rock over by.
“Yeah but anyways, we won!” I said jumping in victory.
*A Day Later*
Myrainie, Percy and the rest of their teammates got snacks and candy delivered to their cabins. Later that night one of the counselor’s knocked at the door. And said that Myrainie and Percy were assigned to go on a mission to find the missing Lightning Bolt of Zeus because Zeus thinks that Percy and Myrainie stole it. They had to leave as soon as possible so that means they had to start their mission the next day.
That morning they packed their things and were given money and started their journey. They got on a city bus that was headed to New York City. They had gotten dropped off at a bus station in the middle of nowhere. And far away from that stop was a shack, it looked a decent size and they thought they could possibly stay there for a day or two.
*15 Minutes Later*
They finally reached the shack and all they saw was statues. All the sudden an old lady comes to the door.
“Hi my name is Edna,” the lady introduced herself.
“Oh, hi I’m Myrainie and this is Percy,” she said pointing at Percy.
“Would you like to come in?” She asked.
“Sure” I said.
We walked in and all around were statues. I was on edge because I didn’t trust this lady. She fed us dinner and then gave us a room to stay in. I told Percy that I didn’t trust her and that we should be careful. He just brushed it off and told me that I was just paranoid. We woke up to a loud bang. We were curious so we went to find the noise and Percy’s clumsy self knocked over a small statue and it broke. We panicked trying to make it look like it wasn’t broken. Then we ran into a garden area full of statue they looked so real, they looked like actual people. I looked behind me and then I see what looks to be Medusa! She cornered me and Percy and hissed with the dozen of snakes on her head. I grabbed a mirror and faced backwards looking, watching her every move I grabbed a sharp piece of broken glass. In a swift movement I dashed at her not looking up and slashed her head off with the sharp piece of glass.
“I told you we shouldn’t had trusted her!” I said passionately.
“I’m sorry I should’ve listened to you.” He said quietly.
“It’s okay just next time trust my instinct when I tell you,” I said forgivingly.
He nodded and we grabbed our things and left. Next stop Los Angeles.
