Powerful and engaging
"This was not my first reading of this fic, and if anything, it reads even better the second time around. Fab blends her source material well, with nods to the canon experiences of the characters woven into the primary storyline seamlessly. The characters are well fleshed out and true both to themselves and the world they have been transplanted into, and the relationships they build are at the heart of the story. Fab has a way with metaphor, and her carefully chosen images rarely fail to deliver. There are moments where the prose drags, but these are rare, and more often we are swept up by the vivid scenes that emerge. The one thing I sometimes stumbled over was pacing. While there are indications time passes, the action sometimes feels so quick and pushed together amidst brief nods to chronology that it reads as though the story takes place over the span of days rather than the months that must have passed in truth. Overall, this story is a fantastic read. The focus on friendship and trust even amidst difficulty, on the bonds of found family, on difficult choices, on betrayal and renewal, all lend themselves to weaving a story that is as engaging as it is profound. If you haven't given Internuntii a chance, you are truly missing out."
Fabulous writing!
"Haven't finished reading it yet, but I need to peel my eyes away from the screen and I didn't want to ignore this story. And I'm glad I didn't pass it up. Just wanted to say that you have such fabulous writing skills. Your range of vocabulary is awesome and inspiring. Your style is so poetic, quite an admirable characteristic. You've painted their personalities very well so far. As one that has never seen or heard of Bastion, I'd clarify what the Ura are, but maybe this is just because I haven't reached that part yet. Despite that, it caught my undivided attention very well, making me wonder several things about this world they're based in (and this sort of curiosity is very much a good thing). It has a very original feel so far, a story all in its own. Amazing job! I'll definitely be continuing this story till the end!"

"Internuntii is always going to stick with me. I went into the story familiar with Soul Eater but not Bastion, and discovered that I needed an understanding of neither to get totally sucked in to the plot and the characterization. It's incredible because no matter what your background - even if you've never experienced either canon - you'll still enjoy the way the plot unravels. The dialogue is charming and flows like real human thought and speech. The spelling, grammar, and sentence construction are so apt that you don't have to worry about errors and awkward phrasing distracting from the story. And the emotion builds up, quietly at first, until you don't know what hit you. With that said, as someone who loves Soul Eater canon, it was integrated incredibly well. If you do happen to be familiar with Soul Eater, you'll feel like you're meeting old friends in a lush new world."
Simply Breathtaking
"As the title suggests, this story took my breath away. The beautiful writing style, colorful imagery, excellent characterizations, and the provoked emotions made me fall in love with this story. I read it in its entirety in one sitting--I was so entranced! I love Soul Eater and have never played Bastion before, but this story brought much more to the table than that. It told a compelling story about friendship, love, loss, and perseverance against all odds. The dynamic between Maka, Soul, Kid, and Stein was unique and written well--it was an interesting hodgepodge of characters forced to harmonize with each other that certainly grabbed my attention from the start! Granted, I'm not too familiar with the plot line of Bastion, but I firmly believe this story could stand on its own as an original--it's publishing quality in my opinion! I recommend it to anyone, SE fandom or not, because it's truly an inspirational work that should not be taken too lightly---it has so much to offer! It's a must-read for sure :)"
Captivating and unique
"I have no real knowledge of video games or the one that this fic is based on and yet it remains one of the best fics I have read. Exciting, with strong visuals and many mysteries to be unraveled, Internuntii draws you in from the first line and doesn't let go until the end. The mystery of the Calamity builds until the end with a twist reveal that poses a dangerous moral question. I absolutely love it. The reveal scene in particular remains one of my absolute favorites, the tension so high I always wind up yelling my choice at the screen desperately hoping the characters will make the same one. The world building is rich and done in a way that no prior knowledge of the Bastion game is needed to understand what is going on. and the characterizations are perfectly balanced between Soul Eater canon and the new setting they are placed in. The writing is exemplar and showcases the considerable skill of its author (who to be totally honest has never disappointed). I've enjoyed this fic from the very start of its writing and still love it today."
Earthshattering
"This piece of literature is one of my favourite pieces that i've ever read, fanfiction or otherwise. I didn't read a single word that I wasn't entirely emotionally invested in, every image so clear and real. You managed to take characters I already adored, and gave me even more reasons to love them. I had the privilege to witness some of this piece being written, and it's an experience that I hold dear. You managed to weave two realms together seamlessly, and somehow improved immensely upon the source material. I found myself more invested in your fic than I had been in either Soul Eater or Bastion. Coming from someone who has had a great deal of difficulty with accepting and dealing with with emotions, reading something so incredibly emotionally charged was a cathartic experience that helped me a great deal. The incredible imagery, the empathy your words awakened in me, and the sheer beauty of this piece are things you should forever be incredibly proud of, and I thank you for sharing this with the world."
A beautiful trip into the world of Bastion
"This is a beautiful take on a wonderfully made game. The characters integration into the story was wonderful and imaginative. It was able to give as much of an emotional roller-coaster as the game. I was also, so happy to see Maka taking the lead - even though I love Soul and The Kid so much. The scene of Soul coming to save Maka was glorious and I couldn't have imagined it written any better. Whether you are a fan of Soul Eater or Bastion - or have no clue what either of them are - you need to read this story!"
Heartwrenching
"Fabulousanima has an almost terrifying knack for seamlessly combining two completely different series and making them not only believable, but mesmerizing. Internuntii is a monster hybrid of Soul Eater and Bastion, and its originality makes it hard to remember it is fanfiction. The core characters are easily identifiable-- they have unique, distinctive voices, you recognize them immediately, with great development on top of it. The prose is filled with rich, deep imagery, sometimes reading more detailed than the game's already very gorgeous universe. The call-backs to both series are fitting and subtle. Some of the lines in this story make you reel with how many hidden meanings and references lurk underneath. Occasionally a little wordy, particularly when describing small, mundane actions, but overall a stunning and poetic-like read. It was a pleasure watching Fab write this, and it was just as much a pleasure again to read it again."

"I am honestly blown away by the sheer emotion this story conveys. In every word, every sentence, every paragraph constructed throughout the story, it allows you to feel something for both the characters, and the seemingly catastrophic world they've been thrown into. Having the power to reduce a person to sheer emotion is truly a force to be reckoned with. A heart wrenching piece that leaves your spirits high, and your faith in the world, despite its ugliness, restored. Subtle nuances can be found throughout it as well which hint at the fandom itself while still staying in line with the original plot of the story. All in all, a beautiful read."
