Unforgettably Addicted

Bai Luo Yin was frantic as he rushed Gu Hai to the hospital. He couldn’t believe that Gu Hai would do this. He took on the full force of the car crash and instead of Bai Luo Yin, Gu Hai was the one who was injured.

He was crying and sobbing miserably. It should have been me that was in this state not you Bai Luo Yin thought. The doctors quickly recognized Gu Hai and took him into the emergency room.

He was outside waiting when Gu Yang, Gu Hai’s cousin showed up. Gu Yang saw Bai Luo Yin in this state and for the first time, he felt truly heartbroken. Gu Yang is not one to be moved by anyone but for some reason, he couldn’t see Bai Luo Yin like that.

He went up to him and Bai Luo Yin spoke first. He said “Why are you here? Why did you do it?” Gu Yang purposely pretended not to know anything and said “What are you talking about?” Bai Luo Yin got up and punched Gu Yang. Gu Yang did not retaliate because he knew that he did wrong. Bai Luo Yin grabbed him by the collar and said “Why would you mess with my brakes like that. You wanted to kill me, then you should have found another way to do so but why did you have to do it this way. It’s your fault that Gu Hai is in there in the situation,”

Bai Luo Yin couldn’t stop the hysteria in his voice and his tears were just strolling down his face. Gu Yang was truly heartbroken but with a cold voice he said “How is that my fault. It’s your fault that you guys got together in the first place. You and him are not meant to be. This was an abnormal relationship from the start. If you had just left from the start, then I wouldn’t have had to go to this extreme. And I didn’t want to kill you, I wanted you away from my brother. You and him can never be. I will never allow it. Before, I thought that this was just a phase and that he would get over you but seeing how obsessed he became with you, I had to intervene. It would be best if you left now.”

Gu Yang really didn’t want to say these things to Bai Luo Yin but he had no choice. He had to do this to save them both from this dangerous addiction. Bai Luo Yin looked at him with so much hatred in his eyes and said “Fuck you, there is no way that I am leaving Gu Hai. Until he, himself tells me to leave, I will never leave him.” Just as Bai Luo Yin was about to say something else the doctor came out of the operating room. He said “Mr. Gu is stable now. You may go and see him.”

Hearing this Bai Luo Yin couldn’t believe his ears. He quickly rushed in with Gu Yang right behind him. Gu Hai opened his eyes slowly. Bai Luo Yin went and grabbed his hand and looked at him in tears. Gu Hai saw him and yanked his hand away from his. Who the fuck is this guy and why the hell was he holding my hand. I am not gay you fucking pervert. He coldly glared at him and said “Who the hell are you and why the hell are you holding my hand?” He looked at Gu Yang and said “Ge why am I here and who is this fucker?” Bai Luo Yin had tears in his eyes and he couldn’t believe it.

The Gu Hai that loved him, cherished him, and would never leave him just looked at him in anger. He said he doesn’t remember me? Suddenly Gu Hai’s heartbeat started rising and he couldn’t breathe, The doctor quickly rushed in and gave Gu Hai a shot to make him fall asleep. Then he went out with Gu Yang and Bai Luo Yin. Bai Luo Yin looked at the doctor and asked

“What’s going on? Why can’t he remember who I am? He is behaving the same way that he used to behave about 1 year ago.” The doctor looked at him and said “I am afraid and Mr Gu has lost his memory of the past year. So he only remembers events that occurred before this past year. Which is why he wasn’t able to recognize you but he recognized his cousin.” Bai Luo Yin felt like his world came crashing down. He then asked the doctor “So... you are saying that he will never recover his memory?” The doctor looked at him with a grave look and said “I really doubt it. There is a very short chance of him remembering. And if you try to make him remember, he will get more sick and he may lose more of his memory and fall terribly ill. He got a huge blow to his head so I don’t think he will recover his memory. I am sorry” The doctor said that and left.

Bai Luo Yin broke down. He couldn’t take it anymore. He started crying really hard. He clutched his chest and he felt as if he couldn’t breathe. He suddenly remembered the month he spent away from Gu Hai. He felt as if he was dying and now, he truly couldn’t live. How will I possibly be without Gu Hai. I have lost everything that belonged to me. I can’t be with him. If I am with him, he will be reminded of the past and try to think harder. His life will be in danger. I have to leave. I must go away from him. Far away. If I stay any longer, then I will not be able to leave easily.

While Bai Luo Yin was going through that inner turmoil, Gu Yang was silently watching from the sidelines. He truly can feel the pain that was in Bai Luo Yin’s heart but, he felt that it was for the better that this had happened. He thought that this chance was provided for these two to live a better life separated.

He went to Bai Luo Yin and put his hand on his shoulder and said ” Listen Bai Luo Yin, I think that this should be enough of a reason for you to leave. You see, this is a sign that you should leave him and go now. He doesn’t remember you, and he shouldn’t hurt himself by trying to remember you either. It’s better for you to leave so go.”

Bai Luo Yin threw Gu Yang’s hand away from his shoulder, looked at him coldly and replied, “I know what I have to do. I do not need for you or anyone else to tell me what I should do. Tell Gu Wei Ting that I need to see him at Gu Hai and my house. It’s really important for me to see him. And this is the last thing I will ask of you.” Gu Yang looked at him and did as he was told. After he had called Gu Wei ting in front of Bai Luo Yin, he saw him turn around and walk away.

Who knew that Gu Yang wouldn’t see him for 8 whole years.
