Summary

Many different thoughts and emotions coming together to help make sense of the world. I’ve been writing poetry for a long while now. The majority of these poems express personal experiences, feelings, and thoughts. Sometimes it’s hard to make sense of what’s going on in my day to day life, so I write a poem to somehow make sense of it all either in the moment or later on.

Family, Friend, and Foe.

Friend, Family, and Foe

Always stooped far too low

Forever seeking my demise

Giving them a little chance to rise

Friend, one I trusted

Never have I felt more disgusted

As I dug out the knife you secretly used

I wasn’t surprised, just merely confused

Family, one in which my blood is shared

One which I knew never cared

So as they ate me inside out

I decided it wasn’t even worth a shout

Foe, one I created long ago

One with a soul as dark as a crow

Plotting my death from time to time

But never did it pay a single dime

Friend, Family, and Foe

Barely any time to grow

As once again they plot my demise

I’m too busy pondering how I will rise

Sissy: Beautifully written poetry, and so very emotional. I was addicted and couldn't put it down when I started reading. The authors writing is so good. I didn't see any errors, and it flowed. Very creative. Very sad.

mariedavismd312: This was Avery spiritual read. The last 2 chapters where very disappointing. That was such a let down unless there is a sequel. Burgess should have been punished for what he did. There was no explanation for his hatred for Jeremiah. I figured he was being set but just had the wrong person. I loved ...

Stella Hart: There were many moments when I almost forgot I was following a story. The characters felt so real that I found myself instinctively judging and criticizing them, as if they were real people. The subject of this story was difficult for me.
