Chapter 1
The day was supposed to be happy and we were supposed to be celebrating my little sister’s 18th birthday. Instead, we are at the hospital, hoping that my sister will wake up from her coma. Let me start from the beginning...
It was the morning of March 16, otherwise known to my family as, my youngest sister’s birthday. Today is her eighteenth birthday and I had a special day planned just for her. I planned to take off from work just for today. “Isabella Grace! Come into the kitchen for your special breakfast,” our mother called throughout the house. My sister briskly walked into the kitchen where our oldest sister, Gemma, our mother and I were waiting for her. “Happy birthday, dear,” our mum said as she hugged Izzy. “Happy birthday little sister,” Gemma said as I hugged my little sister. “Are you ready for today? I have a lot planned for us to do,” I told her. “Yes! I’m so excited! Especially because you planned it around your tour to be here, Haz,” she replied. We finished breakfast rather quickly since the day was going to be hectic. I even decided to let the other members of the band come in to surprise Isabella. They have gotten really close over the years. However, the boys won’t arrive until we are about to leave for dinner. The plan is for them to meet us at the restaurant whilst waiting for my mum and Gemma to get there as a surprise to Izzy.
Isabella’s POV:
I knew that Harry wanted to do something nice for my eighteenth birthday since this would be the only time he would get to see me for my birthday. I just wish that the other boys could come and celebrate with us. As I got ready for the day with Harry, I couldn’t help feeling sad that Niall, Louis, and Liam wouldn’t be around for my birthday. “Izzy! Let’s go!” Harry called out. I grabbed my bag and extra makeup before I met Harry at the door. “Ready Hazza!” I exclaimed, making him jump. We got into the car and drove to the first event: bowling. Harry knew how much I loved bowling from when I was little, so it was no surprise that he would rent it out for the two of us. We played a few rounds and each time, I dominated him. “Hey, Izzy, what would you say if I told you I had a reservation at your favorite restaurant tonight?” Harry asked me. I didn’t speak. I just hugged him tightly and didn’t want to let go. “Thank you, Hazza,” I replied. “You’re welcome, Iz. What do you say we go get you some new outfits?” Harry asked me. I nodded vigorously and we were on the way to the mall. I was able to get a nice dress for my birthday and a few outfits for when I get to see Harry in America. We drove back to the flat so that I could get ready for the rest of the evening. I wouldn’t be officially eighteen until almost midnight but I was okay with that. Harry was able to come home for my birthday and that was all I cared about. Harry and I have always been close and so naturally, he was the one I looked up to the most. Don’t get me wrong, I look up to Gem, too, but only for certain things like dating and makeup. Harry was the one I went to when I had a bad day or was dealing with a lot of stress. I was only 15 when Harry auditioned for the X-Factor. I went to the first audition, but after that, I couldn’t go because of school. “Hey, Gemma! I need you!” I exclaimed. Gem came running into my room, probably thinking that I was dying. “What?!” she asked, trying to catch her breath. “I don’t know what to wear. Help?” I replied. She smiled and immediately went through what I got today at the mall and what was already in my wardrobe. She picked out the baby pink dress that Harry bought for me today and my strappy silver sandals. “Oh, hey, mom wanted me to tell you that we are going out to dinner in a little bit. Harry has offered to drive you to the venue,” she said. “Okay,” I replied, whilst heading into the bathroom to do my makeup. Once I was finished with my makeup, I met up with Harry in the living area. "Are you ready to go eat?" he asked. I nodded in response. He smiled at me and then handed me a piece of paper. "What's this?" I asked. "It's from the other boys. Read it," Harry told me. I opened up the paper and read what the boys wrote to me. ' Dear Izzy, we are so sorry that we could not be there to celebrate your eighteenth birthday. To make it up, we would like for you to come with us to....'
"Where's the rest? There's nothing left on here," I asked, confused. "I'm not sure. However, we can't dwell on it for too long. We have a reservation at the venue, so let's go," Harry told me as he pulled me toward the car. I belted myself in and Harry started the vehicle. We drove the half hour to the restaurant, located in Crewe. As soon as Harry parked the car, he instructed me to stay in the car. He came around to my door, opened it, and blindfolded me. "Hazza, why did you blindfold me? This is ridiculous," I said, laughing. "You will see shortly," he replied whilst guiding me into the restaurant. As soon as Harry took off the blindfold, my mum, Gemma, and a few of my friends yelled 'SURPRISE.' It was only a minute later that I saw Louis, Liam, and Niall in a back corner. I immediately sprinted over to greet them. "BOYS!!! I thought you weren't able to come!" I exclaimed. "Yeah, we lied about that. You didn't honestly believe we would miss this did you?" Louis teased. "So we know you read our letter to you. We wanted to ask you if you wanted to join us for the entire next tour?" Liam asked me. "YES!! Of course, I want to go! Mum, can I?" I begged. She smiled and nodded. "Love, they asked me for months about this. I've already agreed to it," she replied. This was turning out to be the best birthday ever.
