The Witch's Brew

Music rocked the entire club, the bass so loud it not only vibrated some drinks, but Kaiya could feel the rhythmic thumping in her chest. But her focus wasn’t on the loud music, the lights that threw off original colors, or the odorous smell of sex, sweat, and alcohol. Instead, it was on the older man checking her out from across the bar.

He had to have been about late 20’s or early 30’s, crinkles at the corners of his eyes, laugh lines, and his obviously dyed hair. His features made him look like he laughed and smiled a lot, giving him a cheery vibe almost naïve. Kaiya automatically gave him her best flirty eyes, and a seductive bite of her lip. This was all a show, but it came by nature. The flirty attitude, seductive eyes, and curvaceous body was all a gift, and Kaiya never failed to make use out of them.

Finally, with one last gulp of his beverage, he emptied his cup and wove his way around and through busybodies, approaching her.

“I’m Mark,” He shouted over the music.

“Kaiya. But my friends call me Kai.” He nodded, and they shook hands, they both looked at each other awkwardly before Kaiya realized he was the shy time and she needed to be the one to take control.

She grabbed his hand and began dragging him towards the back.

“Hey!” He yelled, “Wait!” But she ignored him, pretending not to hear him.

Kaiya dragged him all the way to the back in a hallway lit only by a red light, she stopped in front of a door to a vacant hall, one room out of a total of five.

“Can we even be back here?” Mark questioned looking around.

“Don’t worry, I know the manager. Trust me he won’t care.” Without any other words spoken Kaiya wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him down for an urgent kiss. She slammed his lips into hers and took charge in an urgent and sloppy kiss.

Together they stumbled into the dimly lit room and slammed the door loudly behind them. She pushed him against it, swirling her tongue around in his nasty mouth. The taste of salt and tequila assaulted her mouth and almost burned her throat with his tongue. It took all her body’s will power not to throw up into his mouth.

She pulled away and trailed kisses down his jawline and to his ear, Mark let out a throaty groan and tilted his head to the side a bit more. “I’m not going to pay you for this. I-I’ve never done this before.”

“Shh, darling. You’re in good hands.” Kaiya whispered in his ear, as she said ‘hands’ she roughly cupped his junk through his jeans.

Slowly, Kaiya crouched down becoming eye level with his crotch. With quick and nimble fingers, she unbuttoned his pants and slid them down pulled his boxers down with them. His member sprung out and Kaiya couldn’t help but notice how long he was.

Wrapping her hands around the shaft she licked circled around the tip of his hard cock. Mark brought his head back against the door with unnecessary force, closing his eyes. Obviously, Kaiya was doing something right. She continued to kiss and sucked on his dick, running her hands up and down his length with a firm grip occasionally playing with his balls.

But playtime was over, positioning herself back a little more and wetting her lips she shoved his hard cock back to her throat and she did this until it almost hurt her, and she could feel the tip touching her throat. Mark grunted and twitched a bit taken by surprise from her sudden ability. Kaiya bobbed her head back and forth swallowing his cock and using her hands to give Mark the best blow job this man had probably ever felt.

Before he could cum though, Kaiya pulled him out completely and wiped away the spit on her chin, “My turn,” she panted.

Pulling him away from the door and pushing him on the bed, Mark watching in confusion still a little dazed from her little mouth working wonders. She kicked off her shoes and pulled down her shorts and panties, crawling over to straddle him.

Kaiya positioned his cock to the entrance of her wet pussy, “Wait I don—”

Mark tried to protest but Kaiya was too wrapped up in lust that she completely ignored him and pushed herself down onto his cock emerging his member inside her.

The pain was excruciating, taking herself like that was bound to leave blood for her first time. She gritted her teeth to keep the pain contained, letting herself adjust to the foreign feeling of him inside her. This wasn’t the way to lose her virginity. As the pain subsided she lifted herself up again and dropping back down on him.

That movement alone was enough to hit Kaiya’s g-spot head on, she began bouncing up and down, riding on Mark’s dick. Every thrust increasing faster and faster, and harder and harder. Hitting that perfect spot every time. Mark groaning beneath her and gripping her thighs with an almost painful grip driving her to move faster.

“I’m going to c-cum—oh Ggod!” Mark grunted, and Kaiya could feel him release his load inside her, but she wasn’t finished yet, just a few more thrust and she would climax though.

Still riding up and down on his cock, Kaiya didn’t slow her pace, but Mark wanted her off. He lifted his hips up in a hard jerk slapping their hips together eliciting an orgasm for Kaiya. She bit her lip and closed her eyes tight, refraining from making a noise whatsoever.

Mark all but flung Kaiya off his dick while she panted and calmed her body down from the sexual high, “I came inside.” Mark breathed.

Kaiya sighed, “I’m on birth control, no need to worry.” Mark let out a breath of relief as Kaiya sat up beside him.

She put back on her underwear and shorts, walking over to the mirror and fixing herself up a bit. “You know I’m still not going to pay you for this, no matter how amazing it was.” Kaiya stared at Mark through the mirror, he was still laying on his back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, stroking his still semi-hard dick.

This was the part Kaiya couldn’t do without spelling herself to rid of her emotions. “Sigillum tuum et labia tua silentio consuto vulnere.” She whispered, directing the spell at Mark.

Mark trying to open his lips to speak again but they were sealed shut with magic, his hands flew up to his lips attempting to pry his lips open, but he was no match for the supernatural talent that was working on him. A twisted smirk formed on Kaiya’s lips and Mark sat up faster that lightning, he looked at her with fear in his eyes but as he saw that she was smiling his face paled and he tried to jump up from the bed, but Kaiya already saw that coming.

Adiuro vos reliquistis me vincere ius Adiuro vos autem sedete meum Adiuro te dies noctesque constringo, Adiuro vos autem totis viribus meis.” Then as if invisible hands grabbed at Mark’s hands and ankles he was suddenly bound to the bed. He couldn’t get away and he couldn’t make a sound.

Kaiya turned around and watching him squirm and struggle to no avail. It was quite comical. She sauntered over to the bedside and casually picked up the dagger laying there, foolish man was too blinding by lust to even notice the fifteen-inch dagger laying only three feet away from him.

Mark froze and tears filled his eyes, he knew where this was going.

“Are you going to cry?” She whispered as she rested on her side right next to him, “Are you? Because it’s going to make me enjoy this to extreme levels. I should say sorry to you and explain to you that I don’t want to do this, but I can’t find any reason why I should. It’s just the side effects of ridding myself of my emotions. Don’t take this personal but it’s my duties as a witch to fulfill these needs. I’m sure you understand.” Mark was now looking at her with wide eyes she could practically hear him screaming “You’re crazy!”

She chuckled and sat up “I guess I should stop wasting time, I have to get home before midnight, or else my sisters are going to freak. I must get your heart back to them, so they can do their stupid spell on time. Again, don’t take this personally.” Suddenly she lifted the dagger up and with all her might she drove the dagger deep into his chest, the sound of bone cracking and flesh ripping cackled through the room.

Mark’s eyes bulged from their sockets and hot warm sticky blood flew from his chest and landed on the floor, the bed, and almost on the ceiling. She yanked on the grip pulling the knife down his chest cutting and tearing at his skin, blood squirting everywhere covering the knife and her hands. Kaiya yanked the knife out of his stomach and pulled open the skin as far as she could. By this time Mark was as good as dead, his eyes were glossed over and had a faraway look to them, as his heart slowly gave out and the life left him.

First, she cut through his diaphragm, and then Kaiya plunged her hand into his dying organs; pushing up and under his rib cage getting elbows deep in Mark’s guts. Feeling around in the slimy, hot, mess Kaiya felt around for his heart, and when she did find it, taking a careful yet firm grip on it she ripped it right from his arteries and pulled it out. Her whole arm and hand were now covered in blood.

Staring at his heart and deciding Mark was a rather healthy man, she slipped her boots back on, and grabbed the dagger as she left Mark’s body on the bed for someone else to find and clean up. Kaiya was about to leave before she paused and turned back around. Setting his heart down on the bed she rummaged around his jeans which were still around his ankles until she found his wallet and slipped it out.

Opening the worn, brown leather, she found his ID, some credit cards, and finally what she was looking for. A whole wad of what looked to be about two hundred dollars in cash. Sweet. Before Kaiya put his wallet back, now covered in his own blood, a vibrant color of yellow caught her eye.

She pulled out a picture of Mark and a little girl. They looked like they were standing in a park as trees and green grass was all around them. The little girl had the blondest hair Kaiya had ever seen in pigtails, her face frozen in a happy smile, sitting on Mark’s shoulders. This must have been his daughter. Flipping the photo over Kaiya read the date: 6/15/17 Makenna—7

This was taken a little less than a year ago, that means Makenna was still either seven turning eight, or she was eight. Poor girl. She was going to grow up without a father now. Kaiya looked up at Mark who was as dead as a doornail with a vacant look in his eyes. “How unfortunate.” She said to herself before taking the heart, the cash, and the dagger tossing the picture at the corpse. It landed inside of his brutally ripped open chest, slowly becoming submerged in his bodily fluids.

Kaiya walked out the door without a second look behind her, finding the back exit and leaving the club, she walked to the front of the club. She stood under the tall neon sign advertising the club, in bright cool colors the sign glowed brightly against the night sky, it reads: THE WITCH’S BREW.

Kaiya looked both ways before disappearing into the night, heading home.

Taking the long way home, Kaiya didn’t get home until there was only forty minutes until her deadline. She opened the door to her home, the smell of herbs such as sage, and parsley leaves, and a bit of mandrake hit her nose. It was a weird combination of smells, but for Kaiya growing up in a house full of witches, she’d come to call this smell home.

No one was in the kitchen or in the living room, the whole downstairs was completely empty. Moving on up the stairs to the second floor of their old Victorian home, Kaiya made a pit stop at her room, tossing the wad of cash onto her bed. None of her sisters were in their bedrooms, but Kaiya already knew where they were doing to be. The sound of her sisters chanting in Latin was muffled through the ceiling.

They were in the attic. Pulling down the collapsible stairs, their voices became much clearer, and Kaiya recognized the spell immediately. Plus, there wasn’t a wide variety of spells that required the use of the heart of a man. It was a protection incantation purposed to protect the family all year round. That’s why they needed the heart of a man, it brought the element of strength. Usually it worked better with the heart of a bear—the stronger the heart, the stronger the protection.

Kaiya trudged through the dark room, going around her two sisters, Jasmine and Rosalie, who were standing around a cauldron of all cliché things. Both their eyes were closed, concentrating on their spell when Kaiya had dropped the heart down on one of their many tables in the room.

Besides a few tables, the long attic room held a cauldron against the back wall with an old medieval spit, and the grandfather clock at the end of the room. The walls were lined with shelves of herbs like roots, leaves, flowers, and some twigs; odds and ends such as locks of hair, a few organs from either human or animal Kaiya didn’t know; books from their ancestors like herb guides, gemstones of all colors and shapes, plus seven generations of grimoires, not to mention some from different families they had taken; finally vials and bottles of common liquids for witches, there were bottles of blood for all sorts of animals, urine, sperm, and many others Kaiya couldn’t even name.

The sound of the heart thumping against the wood broke Jazz and Rose from their spell. “Good God Kai, would it kill you to let out a warning before you enter a room.” Jazz scolded.

“Especially when we’re doing a spell.” Rose added.

Kaiya tilted her head back staring at the ceiling, mentally counting to one hundred before turning around and answering the both. “Listen sisters, I don’t give a crap about what you want. I just want a damn shower.” Her reply was as dry as the Sahara Desert, as she held up her hand ending her little confession. Her right hand was still cover in—now dry—blood.

Rose and Jazz, looked at her shocked by her attitude, and the gory sight in front of them. “Oh… ” Rose stared at her straight in her eyes. “You locked your emotions away.” That explained her rude and short-tempered vibe.

Kaiya was not usually like this, most of the time she was a happy ray of sunshine, okay that may have been an exaggeration, but she was still in a better mood than this most of the time..

“We told you, you didn’t have to go out and get a heart. We could have done it without you, one of us would have went—”

“Oh, stop with the coddling. I’m eighteen, almost out of high school, I need to learn how to do this on my own because it’s not like you two are going to girl up and get a man to carry on the family bloodline.” Checking the grandfather clock at the far end of the room, there were only mere minutes before the clock struck twelve. “Let’s just hurry up and do the damn spell, times almost up.”

The atmosphere shifted and was now uncomfortable, that edge of tension was digging into her mind, ticking her off even more. Kaiya had totally hurt her sisters’ feelings, they wouldn’t let it show, but it was obvious, and she didn’t feel a thing, not even remorse. She just wanted out of the stuffy attic. Stepping up to the cauldron, which was boiling with leaves floating at the top, the heat slightly burning at her bare legs.

Silently, Rose retrieved the heart, and Jazz joined her hand with Kaiya’s bloody crusted one. As the heart dropped in, they all three began chanting the words, “Ingentem lucis Hecate mirabilis, et fortis: Dona nobis praesidii atque exsecrari solitum Eos, qui nos malum.”

The boiling water, turned a deep red, a tingling feeling floated through the air. As if tiny needles pricked at the girls’ skin, they knew that the spell was at work. While it finished up a hard shot to the heart hit the three, it felt as if someone had plucked at a single heartstring. Jazz and Rose had both gasped and clutched at their chest, Kaiya on the other hand had bared through the pain with a stoic expression.

In all reality, she had relish in the feeling of pain, taking note of every detail, the way it hurt her. It was a vein popping sting that reverberated through her chest. It made her feel alive, that she was still a human inside her cold dark chest. This was the only thing she truly felt.

It was over now, the spell, they were now under the protection of Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft. “I’m taking a shower,” Kaiya said and without another word raced down the attic ladder and hid herself in her room. Leaving her sisters to clean up the mess. She started the water, turning the heat way too high for her small body. While the hot water steamed up the bathroom, Kaiya had gotten out her own little notebook she had been filling with hexes, and curses, and incantations she used regularly she turned to the last page written in.

Me adducere affectuum meorum, Ego meam habuerunt fun, Ego pervenit ingentem stragem dedit mihi.” Suddenly like a breath of fresh air filled her lungs, she felt all emotions pass through her in a faction of a second. Going through happiness, sadness, anger, fear, anxiety, nervousness, depression, and all other feelings in between. Her vision blacked out for a moment, and the room swirled from such a head rush.

Stripping from her clothes and walking back to the bathroom, she quickly climbed into the bathroom before the wave of emotions came and crashing into her. She got used to the water standing underneath the beating stream of hot water when it happened.

Feelings of disgust washed over her as her body re-lived through the feeling of Mark checking her out, and the disgusting things she did to his and her genitals. A wave of sickness wrecked into her body as images of cutting open another human being like he was a piece of meat and eventually shoving her hand inside of him like he was some puppet. Next fear overwhelmed her, the memory of her walking home and some creepy men tried to gang up on her probably to do inhuman things on her like she did with Mark. Thankfully they ran away at the sight of a human heart in her hand, although she probably deserved what they were going to do her considering she had killed a person only minutes ago. Then remorse, as her mind re-lived only a few minutes ago when she hurt her sister’s feelings without so much as a sorry, and finally pain. The sharp pain in her chest, which hurt the most since it occurred not too long ago.

With the hurricane of emotions running through her body she had crashed to the floor in her shower, tears streaming down her face and her hands violently shaking. It took her a few raspy gasps before she was able to calm herself down. Washing the blood from her hand and scrubbing her body until she was 100% sure she had completely scrapped off a full layer of skin. Her body was beat red from the shower and the scrubbing, but she wanted to make sure she had rid herself of all germs or cells or whatever else Mark could have left on her.

Turning off the water and wrapping herself up in a big fluffy black towel, she paused in front of the mirror wiping off the condensation, she stared at herself. Kaiya was happy with her body, and everything about her appearance. In fact, Kaiya was extremely proud of it. Although it wasn’t completely hers. Since she was born into a witch family, having her mother instantly offer her to the Devil. In exchange for their soul Satan rewarded them with the power of magic, the hypnotic eyes, and curvy body. So naturally, all witches were turned into beautiful beings, often mistaken for succubae. Although, Kai wasn’t sure a pretty face, body, and magic was all worth getting your soul taken, plus the consequences of having no soul, like never entering heaven and never being able to fall in love.

Kaiya had often wondered what she would look like without the gifts from Satan. Would she still have a busty chest? Or the perfect hourglass figure with such seductive hips? Would her eyes still be the most mesmerizing color of a light hazel accented with a vibrant crystal blue? Maybe she would have been an ugly child, wouldn’t that be glorious? To be able to walk down the street without men ogling at you, giving unwanted cat calls, and perverted looks from strangers. If she couldn’t be ugly then at least average looking, people still wouldn’t give her a second look.

Wrapping the towel around her tighter, she went to her closet and dressed herself in a long-sleeved pajama shirt and fuzzy nighttime sweats. Before going to bed, Kaiya snuck out of her room and made herself a cup of peppermint tea and plopped a crystal gem into the tea. The peppermint would soothe her aching head and the amethyst crystal would ward off any nightmares she would have tonight, which was bound to happen because of the gory and inhumane things she had done tonight.

Walking up the stairs, the whole house was dark, her sisters must have shut down the house, probably already in bed. Her assumptions were correct as she noticed both their doors were shut and no light was spilling from underneath their doors.

Kaiya knew the right thing to do would be to apologize to her sisters, she didn’t want to face them in shame. Maybe she could make them a full breakfast tomorrow morning before school, which would be her silent apology for her actions. She quietly slipped into her room and crawled into her bed, the blanket covering her legs resting her back against her head board. She thought about school, her friends, trying to think about anything that would take her mind off tonight.

By the time she finished her tea and the bottom revealed her tea leaves, and the purple stone covered in them, she wiped off the leaves and clutched the stone in her hand. Falling asleep with it in the palm of her hand.
