Heart of Ra

They watched from atop of the statue as the humans worked around in the ruins. He grinned as one of them shouted and an older looking man went over to see what was going on.

“Looks like they found something.” His companion seemed ecstatic but all he could do was grin, “shall we go down and see what it is?”

“No,” he kept his gaze on the humans as they ran around hollering about their findings, “let's let this play out. My brother will eventually be drawn out.” He turned to leave and his companion followed.

“So what is the plan, exactly?” That was a good question but he already had an answer.

“We let the humans do as they wish here. When he finally comes out, he will be destroyed. They just have to find his heart first.”

“Do you even know what this heart looks like? Is it an actual heart?” He shook his head as they stepped out into the night and he looked at the stars.

“No one knows but,” he looked at his partner and grinned, “I do know that it will be his undoing.
