A Perfect Read for a Young Audience
"Hildegarde of The Bees is a coming of age story about a young lady discovering herself. Along the way she meets two very genuine friends who help her at every turn. While spending a year with a distant but loving relative, the MC Hildy discovers she has special gifts. These gifts have ties to her diseased mother, and as the story progresses we find out more and more of what Hildy can do. One of my favorite aspects of this story is the relationships Hildy builds along the way. The author does a great job of making her audience feel the love between them, and it is endearing. The character development is strong, especially for the targeted age group, and the drama and excitement ebb and flow throughout. It seems the author has set herself up for a sequel as readers will want to know what adventures Hildy will be off to next. Great work!"
