Untitled chapter
«I can’t believe they actually brought a pyramid piece and rebuild it here!»
She was truly amazed, being an art lover, and an ancient art lover at that, meant her very self was glowing with happiness; if you looked close enough, you could probably see her happy aura….
«Ne, ne Seamus, what do you think about this sarcophagus? »
He smiled and agreed that it Was cool. He liked ancient Egypt as much as the next person, it was simply the fact that his girlfriend explained things so well that it was pretty much impossible not to enjoy even the seemingly small and insignificant pieces.
They saw mummified crocs, garments, papyrus, busts, …. Next was ancient Greece and Rome. She happily continued holding his hand, other holding the audioguide machine, dragging him from piece to piece – humming happily and attempting translation of the Germans guide voice. She would intently look at certain pieces and their details. Sometimes she would lean to one side, then the other, then frown and hum about certain ideas. Sometimes they would find different pieces interesting, so they would smile and tell the other not to get lost.
When they got further into the Roman period, more details and longer showcases: metallurgy, pottery, daily instruments, jewelry, … She had been there for an hour and half – something about needing to see and write down the details of certain vocabulary. Needless to say, Seamus was getting slightly bored. *Sigh* Twice she sat down, legs crossed – as it was her habit, easier to write she would reply. And twice he got slightly lost.
He knew she loved dresses. He should, they’ve known each other for a good while, he recalls fondly. And she didn’t change practically nothing, got more mature, even more beautiful; eventually they started dating, neither one had really been with other people – they never saw the appeal. They even laughed at some of their previous attempts to «date». … But dammit, why This dress? Just because they were going to a Baroque&Classic concert, she got tickets to. She had warned him about code dress for this kind of places, so straight black pants («no jeans!» she said), a dress shirt with a sweater on top («you don’t look an old man! You look sharp!») and simple shoes that he rarely wore.
What about her? Fabric dress that fits her just right, black, long sleeved with a woven «belt» right beneath her bosom and a checkered detail that covered the area of her chest. See-through tights, knee high socks (it Was 12 degrees Celsius outside) and nice, low cut, heel boots. Both of their coats and scarfs were left in the locker along with both their bags.
«God darn it», he softly swore out loud.
Someone thought she worked at the museum - being a kindred soul, she helped despite, explained smiling, that she didn’t work there. He sighed, he was pretty used to this kind of scenarios, no matter how much apprehensive he was of certain people (seriously some people were too straight forward!) it was her nature. Hell, she worked with dealing with all kinds of different people and nationality every day.
After laughing it off, she quickly searched for him and explaining what happened with a smile, promptly dragged him off again. She saw a place that had history. They entered a kind side, small room which had a map, a quick English summary (with track number for complete explanation with audioguide) and a showcase piece.
Seeing her perking up, he amusingly promptly thought «hook, line and sinker» - confirmed by taking a sitting place on the bench right next to the wall. He followed suit – he knew they would be a while. Some people had also entered the room, but lacking the useful device, carried on. «Honestly», he thought to himself «Who comes to a museum like this at opening hour? There were a few people, but not That many that stayed around like they did. She Had warned me that this was going to take a few hours.»
He sighed almost inaudibly but she was still quick to turn to him, squeeze his thigh with a concerned look, tilting her head in a questioning manner. He quickly smiled and shook his head as to say everything was alright. Slightly doubting, she scrunched her lips slightly and then turned to continue.
He knew she was still concerned, so he came up with what he thought was a brilliant idea… putting his hand on her back, coercing her into standing up – the bewildered look on her face was precious -, he slid into her spot and had her sit between his legs. «Seamus!» she quietly admonished. «Shush. I’m not doing anything wrong. You’re tired and I’m not going anywhere before you finish. Come on, trust me a little.» Albeit slightly blushing, she did sit, crossing her legs once again, leaning slightly back and tucking her chin in – she was still slightly absorbed by the German voice, so no more vocal complaints. He drew his arms around her waist, slightly supporting his jaw on the top of her head – the embrace was relaxed.
Despite loving those shoes, they had walked a lot and she was a little bit tired of standing (not that she would ever admit that…). This was obvious to him as she kept shifting from one foot to the other – when she thought he wasn’t looking. He kept musing, she did sway her hips more with heels… not that he was complaining, he amusedly thought to himself.
They were taking it slow. They were both fairly new at this. She had never really dated before (didn’t find anyone that interesting – she would shrug and say) and he had a few relatively brief relationships that never really developed. He was quite shy and took a while to warm up to someone. She was quite outgoing and expressive, which fits her like a glove – being a tourist guide was joyous to her. How did she end up being shy outside of her work was a wonder. Still they had so many common interests, it was slightly laughable how they didn’t get together earlier.
Sometimes he wonders how the hell there they together, after all she was clearly out of his league, he always thought. She was quick to kiss those ideas away – hating that he was having such negative thoughts and replying that if she didn’t to be together, there wasn’t anyone holding her down. They had started slow but were steadily progressing. They were definitely more comfortable with each other, she disliked when people she didn’t get along with tried touching, holding or – god forbid – hugging. All that was blown to pieces though when she was with people, she truly trusted, turning very affectious. Same for him mostly, but they had overcome both their small problems – otherwise they wouldn’t share the vacation apartments’ one bed.
That made him smile and think «we’ve come a way regarding that». Turning his head to the right, his cheek now rested on her head. She was still taking notes – such tiny handwriting! Around 10minutes had passed since they sat like that. Adjusting his head again, he noticed that the joining room – also a “side room” didn’t really have a lot people coming and going… his right hand slid down, reaching the side of her little notebook and covering what exposed flesh he could feel – occulted by the leg crossing over the one he was touching. She adjusted slightly – her legs were cold despite the warm air conditioner and he was like a walking low burning furnace. Making a small noise, she kept writing. He grinned to himself – time to have some fun…. He let her get adjusted to the fact his hand was there but then he started slightly drawing patterns on here thigh with his nail – slowly almost lazily… Up, down – nonsense patterns really but enough to start bothering her.
His girlfriend was A-do-ra-ble, no matter her objection to it. She shifted slightly, tucking her head further as to hide the pretty blush he just knew was there. The hand still around her waist tightened just enough, and his fingers skimmed just beneath the edge of the dress’s fabric. His head had already dipped a little as well to her side, still keeping an eye for people. She was getting flustered and was sooo going to kill him later. Nearing her ear, he whispers «Hey, don’t loose focus ok?» to which she simply tightened her crossed legs and shifted again, blush intensifying.
Now this, this was something he would be dammed if anyone else ever tried anything funny with her. After all she had the cutest reactions – again, no matter how much she disagrees. He’s perverted side had easily come forward when he found certain… responses to their playing. To think it all started with an accident….
His left hand around her waist slowly slid upwards to underneath her bosom – the squeak like noise she did had him grinning like a wolf. His right hand tightened on her leg and slid upwards, his pinkie caressing the other leg – almost a caressing promise to go over that one later. Her light trembling was telling him all he needed to know… Now he did brush his knuckles across the other leg, with a little bit of pressure.
«Uhn!» Now he was starting his real fun. Her attention was on him, grabbing his wrist as to prevent him from moving. A little pant and a low whine «Seaamus… what are you doing??» With a chuckle he answered: «I’m enjoying the presence of my girlfriend of course. My very, very cute girlfriend who is being such a good girl studying her german…» As he said this, his left hand drew her further unto his taller frame and he quickly pecked her exposed neck. «Would you like me to stop?» He whispered into her ear. «Of course!...Ahn!... Seamus, we’re in a public space!» she hotly whispered back, bright red now.
To anyone outside the room, it could look like they were a couple of lovebirds. His wolfish grin was obscured by his long hair – which left him glad he listened to her request to let it loose just for that day.
But feeling her firm bottom against his crotch, the slightly out of breath pants, the attempted control of her breath rhythm and her clenching and unclenching of legs – told him otherwise and much, much more.
«Huuum….» he lightened his grip and clasped the hand around his wrist in a gentle hold; his left hand, going back to her waist. He did however kiss her neck «Very well. As you wish.»
She kept facing away from him, as a dismayed attempt to hide her red face from him, still slightly out of breath. «Baka! Idjit!» He chuckled and pecked her neck again.
It had taken a while for them to get up, he was also supporting a rather… big problem. A security guard eventually passed but didn’t say anything.
The rest of the tour went rather well – until they realized they were Both famished and had to have lunch. The only problem is they couldn’t leave the building, or they would have to pay the entrance again – which was so Not happening. So, they agreed to have lunch in the single inside restaurant. It went well with Patrícia managing to spill her tea, yet not dirtying anyone. She apologized profusely, but eventually the two laughed it off. Of course, equally amusing was Seamus trying to read the German part of menu before deciding to turn back to the English, sad and with an unhappy smile – much to her amusement certainly.
Really it was amazing how she kept so many languages on her head and wanted to learn more! Her reply would always be the same: if you try hard you can manage too! Besides you have your skills too!
After that, they continued the exploring the museum, that unfortunately became crowded and took most of the afternoon. Also taking 30mins extra for the temporary exhibition – Bruegel - «You know the Babel Tower, right??» She exclaimed with hearts on her eyes. Of course, she made sure to stay out of… tight situations.
Then Seamus was dragged to the store and had a great workout opportunity - «You’re not taking the whole bookshop, are you???» «Don’t exaggerate! I’m only taking 5 books! It’s not my fault there aren’t bilingual books! And the postcards are so I don’t take huge wallpapers!»
