Chapter 1
A flutter... almost cardiac. It hits a beat,
misses.
This action, feeling, tends to grow, disperse;
It haunts its pilot.
What is it? How did it, you, come about?
Human.
Dangerous.
Not dissimilar to diffusion.
You pray on the weak, vulnerable, the ones that so confoundedly lost,
They are the ones losing a battle; in the deep, dark woods; so far from home; so far from sanity.
Some will call you a fiend... a shadow consuming my entirety,
Wrapping your claws softly around my being.
Barely noticeable at first, but slowly confining...
suffocating.
I fear you've become more like a friend.
A presence I loathe living with;
An entity I cannot bare to live without.
You are my saviour, slowing breaking away at my almost intangible soul.
Don't leave me...
Not alone.
