Well, except for her mother who died giving birth to her and a witch from a neighboring pack who helped cover her scent to avoid detection from people who are searching for her kind. At age 19, she ran away to avoid getting violated by her Alpha only to literally stumble upon the fearless and merciless Alpha of Blood Moon Pack. Stonic. Merciless. Rouge Killer. “Push, Jennifer, push!” The midwife yelled ordered the laboring woman, but still trying to calm her, “You have to push, Jen, do this for your baby. She’d be strangled by your umbilical cord if you don’t continue to push, dear.”

This caused an adrenaline to Jennifer, doubling her effort despite the pain coursing through her entire body.

“We’re going to die if we continue this, Jennifer, but we HAVE to.” Jen’s wolf, Jude, told her while she pushed her daughter.

“I know, we have to do this together even if it means dying.” Jennifer answered her wolf as they both try their very best to save their baby.

“The head’s out, Jen! She’s here she’s here! One more push my dear!” The midwife instructed as she held the baby’s head delicately in her hands.

Jennifer grunted in pain as she pushed one last time, exerting all of her energy as she felt the pain sucking her into oblivion, but she tried her best to wake up especially after hearing her baby’s first cry.

Nora, the midwife, held the baby in her arms, wrapping her with the soft cotton cloth and cleaned the baby girl carefully after cutting the cord. After all the blood was cleaned up, she approached the heavy breathing mother who is trying her best to stay awake.

“Here’s your girl, Jen. You did a very great job. I am so proud of you.” Nora congratulated her why handling the baby to her but still holding on to support them as the mother is still having trouble recovering from the labor.

“Y-y-you have to p-protect her, Nora.” Jen breathed out. They both know what this means. And so, Nora proceeded to chant the spell.

Being a young witch, she had to repeat the spell to make sure that the binding would be sealed properly. The bunding spell she performed is between the child and the Jennifer’s necklace. This will keep other wolves, witches, and vampires from knowing who she really is by masking her scent and hiding her wolf until the right time comes.

The right time is when the child meets her mate. Her true soulmate.

Jennifer’s labored breaths became heavier and she can feel all her energy, slowly slipping out of her and her wolf’s body.

“What are we going to name your angel, Jen?” Nora asked in between her sobs as she witnesses her best friend dying in front of her and her bestfriend’s child.

“Annalise.”
