Chapter 1

I opened my eyes; letting the sun burn them for a couple of minutes. Quickly, I get dressed and head downstairs. My Aunt Cammy smiles at me and hands me a piece of toast with apple butter on it. “Make sure not to get in trouble today.” Cammy knows that I’ll get in trouble, she ends up taking me to the dinner in town, and I end up meeting up with Jamie, and we go to the broken down Mansion, that the mayor lived in, 5 years ago, and we smoke pot until we almost forget who we are. Jamie always brought a bottle of Jim Beam from his father’s room.

I smile back at Cammy and walk to the garage. My old Chevrolet C/K sat next to my mom’s old Honda Accord. Before my parents died, my dad gave me his old truck. He said that he would get himself a new truck, but life got in the way. I smiled at the old busted up red truck. All of the memories that I had with my dad. We went to Peer’s diner and we always ordered strawberry milkshakes. When my parents had a huge fight, my dad drove me down to his grandparent’s house and showed me the lake that was surrounded by trees. You could tell that my dad loved this place. There was a worn down place in the grass and weeds.

My dad had his first kiss there, his first drive of alcohol, and that’s where my dad proposed to my mom. My dad promised that soon it would be my secret hideout. I checked my phone and grumbled under my breath. I quickly started up the truck and drove as quickly as possible to school. I find a parking spot and almost run down the hallway, grabbing my stuff as I go, and walking into class as if I wasn’t fifteen minutes late.

“Jade, please have a seat.” I walked down the aisles and to the back where Jamie sat. “I made sure to pack the good shit. Just don’t smoke all of it.” I smirk at him and look over at the teacher for a couple of seconds to make it look like I was paying some sort of attention. “Last time I was having some rough times.” Jamie ran his hands through his hair, “God, I’m still fucked up from yesterday.”

Yesterday we met up at the mansion and drank a whole bottle of Smirnoff, and ate a bag of marshmallows. “Not my fault that you brought a bottle of Smirnoff, and you know momma loves her Smirnoff.” Jamie scoffs at me, and I punch his arm playfully. “I just hope that my dad doesn’t find out like the last time. I was pretty sure that my ass was going to a mental facility.”

Jamie’s dad was probably was one of the cool parents, but when you get into drugs; that’s a whole new different story. When Jammie’s father was a teenager; he used to do all different kinds of crap. One day after smoking and drinking with his friends, his dad called him and told him that his car broke down. He got his dad in a wreck and almost killed him.

“Just make sure to take a shower and not hide your clothes under your bed where your dad will find them.” Then History starts and I groan. “Let’s start on Vietnam War.” I fall asleep halfway through the lesson and almost jump out of my seat when the bell rings.

Jamie strolls up with the whole track team. One of them pulls out a bottle of Fireball and starts passing it around the group. Someone holds it out to me, but I decline. “Come on Jade, don’t be a pussy.” The group chuckles. The next time the bottle gets to me; I take a long swig and pass it to the next person. “Last Fall, Jeremy and I had to bust through a window in the back. Stupid cops boarded it up yesterday,” Jeremy says, leading the group to the basement doors.

The room was dark and you would barely see a foot in front of you. I reach out to feel around and find Jamie’s back, and hold on to his sweatshirt. Jamie didn’t say anything; so I don’t let go. “There should be a door around here.” Jamie pulls out his phone and turns on his flashlight. There were cobwebs everywhere, shelves full of old cans of food, and old musty boxes stacked up in the corner.

“There,” Jamie says, pointing to a bashed in wooden door. Everyone pounds up the stairs and into the huge living room. The guys start throwing stuff off the bookshelves and going through the huge wooden desk in the back of the room. “Look what I found.” Everyone turns around and peeks into the smaller room. “This could be fun.” There was a small bar with shelves of different alcohol.

Jeremy and Scott reach for the bottles and start taking sips of them. “Tastes fine.” Everyone starts drinking from the bottles and throwing the bottles on the ground. I sit on the couch and watch as the boys start to get dumber with each and every drink they take. “Hey Jade, You want some?” I shake my head and Jamie starts to walk off; chuckling under his breath.

I find the bottle of Fireball that someone brought, and start taking small drinks of it. Eventually, I started to feel numb and everyone was sitting down somewhere and laughing at something someone said. Jamie stumbled back over and plopped down next to me. I suddenly felt Jamies lips on mine and all at once his body was suffocating me. I started kissing him back, and things got a little more heated.

His lips were rough and tasted sweet and sour. His hands started touching my stomach and then they gently started massaging my boobs. “Jamie, I don’t think-” He shushed me and started kissing harder. “Jamie I-” Then everyone started to whistle and clap. “I think we should go somewhere more private,” Jamie said, picking me up. Jamie threw me on a bed and started kissing me again.

“Jamie, please we-” He pulled off my shirt, “Shh, baby.” I let us kiss for a little while longer, but then he started to unbutton my jeans and I started to get a little scared. “Jamie, I’m not-” He pulled off his shirt and shorts. “Jamie, please I don’t-” He was so fast, and I felt so suffocated. “Jamie please, I barely know you.” I shoved him a bit and leaned up. “Gad, your such a fucking pussy,” He said, covering up with the sheets on the bed and turned around.

I quickly put my clothes back on and gathered my things before heading back home.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
