Great potential

"First, I wanna say that this story has a lot of potential and I like how magic has been used so far. There's nuggets of gold that hidden in the story that needs to be polished a lot. Also, I will note that I only read until Chapter 7. Let's begin with technicalities: Stick to one tense. It is very distracting and confusing when a story keeps switching from past to present tense throughout a chapter and sometimes it happened in a sentence. Here's an example: The only weapons that suited my style are a sword and a staff. Some of the wordings are awkward and especially some of the speech. The best way to avoid these is to read your story out loud. You'll catch a lot of mistakes that way. Chapter 4 was the hardest to read because of the amount of awkward wording. There are also a lot of worldbuilding opportunities that could expand on. The two I immediately thought of while I was reading this story are shop owners pretending to be allergic to fur to deny half-humans service and children who are just barely able to reach above level 5, like just level 6 were considered to be prodigies. As much as I appreciate the two main characters being very strong, I feel like they're way too overpowered. The reason it's best to avoid "perfect" characters is because it makes for a very boring story. There are no conflicts other than the main plot and all tension is lost when I hear that the two main characters are a few days away from being max level. I know this is a lot of criticism but I honestly really like this story, it's just one step away from being amazing."

Potential

"This story has potential. Some parts read as they come from a videogame but is not that bad. the grammar needs a bit of help as well ad the development of the plot. Still, I feel like this can be made into a great story."
