I was left in shock and speechless
"Neither the introduction nor the reviews prepared me for this reading (and I suspect nothing in this world could have). It's true that I was warned about how compelling the plot is... but the essence of the story is heartbreaking, especially the ending. The postscript, with the author's reflection, is appreciated, shedding light on that abrupt and peculiar ending. It's surprising how, from the first chapter, the author manages to create a strong bond of empathy with David. I truly wanted to read on, hoping that humanity could be redeemed through this "anonymous" girl. Of course, by the time I reached the end of this story, I was left in shock and speechless."
It was a delight
"I really liked this from the first few sentences and I finished it pretty fast. I just like the writing and how easy it felt, like a bit if fresh air. I strongly recommend it to everyone, not just Tolkien fans 👍"
Wow.
"This story is great, and the way the author describes in the postscript? Genius. I mean, I have been a LotR fan for a while, but I have only seen the movies, and this story described an elf in a way the actors didn't portray. I mean, this elf has been through problems and hardships that aren't described in the movie. Interviews With A Woodelf is great. I loved it!"
I wasn't a LOTR fan...
"... but you nevertheless were able to create a plot that was both extremely intriguing and audience grabbing. Believe me, a fanfic about something I wasn't a fan of probably wouldn't have me hooked for a few chapters or two, but your work on "Interviews with a Woodelf" was an exception. I honestly had to take a few hours of my internet browsing to finish your work. The plot building and turn of events, the cause-and-effect of Rachel's reactions to David's life story... it was very gripping to watch as their fate unfolded. I like how you used Rachel as a narrator's point of view, and the way you integrated her as one of the plot catalysts. And I liked the historical references that you employed... very appropriate for the scenes. Saved me some time off doing my homework. I also like how you used technical recording elements to veer from the usual narrative style of most novels... in my opinion that was your best edge to this story. Overall, I'm pleased to inform you that you've earned yourself a fan. :)"
