I was Lilac smith, the only born of my biological parents, Xavier and Lily smith. You notice how I said was? That’s because my lovely and caring parents banned me from their pack at the age of 12. There had never been a female alpha and they didn’t want me to be the first. When I argued the fact I was best fit vs the beta’s first son they had kicked me out. They weren’t always like this though, they were supportive of me about everything I did until I offered to be the alpha. little did they all know I had been training the past 6 years, because I, Athena would make my own pack.

Life as a rouge was hard, but I had it pretty easy since I had more strength than most. I had found an alpha who had ran when they refused to let his human mate be Luna. He had been teaching me how to fight, he was a tough opponent since he wasn’t just a normal alpha, but an alpha prince.

I was coming up with a plan while getting a tattoo when jaxon came in. “hey sweetheart what are you thinking about?” Jaxon and his mate Bri were my betas, and my best friends.

“just how we will do this” I stated giving him a small smile, we had a whole army backing me up. You would be surprise how many females were kicked out for being strong and wanting to be warriors and how many males had human mates. I promised them we would have our own pack and I would keep that promise.

“we storm the royals and demand land, I know the guards and their patrol times” he said brushing it off, he was confident, I couldn’t say the same about myself but hey fake it till you make it, right? I watched the buff guy finish my tattoo, the tattoo was only worn by alpha king’s but instead of a male crown a beautiful crown fit for a queen sat instead. I thanked the guy and left with jaxon.

I quickly slipped on my fighting gear, thick black leggings, a gray muscle shirt and combat boots. I walked down the stairs seeing all my warriors bow to me. “today we fight side by side, tomorrow we set up our pack lands” i boomed and shortly after everyone clapped in agreement.

I heard growls and the alarms blaring, there was an attack. I jumped out of my throne running towards the noise, i knew then my mate was apart of this attack, i could smell her. “my king there has been an attack from all sides of the territory, this person knew when patrols were” my beta stated bowing. I gave a murderous growl out, i knew who it was.

When i walked out the battle field everything stalled, it was clear the other army just wanted to talk. “everyone shift” anyone who was a wolf instantly changed to their human form, i was surprised to see a lot of female warriors with this pack.

I saw every one put clothes on then i saw him “jaxon, welcome back”

He let out a dry laugh and gave me a bored look “you know i am not here to come back to this hell hole nor am i here to start a war, my alpha has business to discuss”

“really i don’t see an alpha here” i said looking at mostly clothes women and some clothes males, none were alphas, i knew all the alphas.

“then obviously you are blind” a short girl with brown hair steps out. I knew the moment i saw her she was my soul mate. She held power around her but she isn’t an alphas daughter i know because i have met them all except lilac smith who died a couple years ago.

“and who are you?” I asked scoffing at her, she was below me and she had the nerve to talk to me like she owned the place.

“i am alpha athena” she said her voice bold, her shoulders squared back, every warrior of hers bowed with respect. My warriors were quite and i couldn’t help but to laugh.

“you are no alpha” i spat at her “jaxon you really have fallen, not only did you leave pack life for a stupid human but you let a female rule you?” I shook my head at my stupid brother, never did i think he would be this low.

“watch your tongue” growled out jax, i watch him take a step behind athena. I growled at him yanking him by his throat.

“you will not stand close to her you hear me, she is mine” my wolf growled out, i felt a hand pull my arm twisting it almost painfully behind my back, a warning. I flipped the person on the ground to see my mate laying there teeth bared. She rather protect this pup than her be by her mates side. “you stay out of this”

She quickly got up in a fighting stance “you will not tell me what to do, he is my beta meaning i will protect him”

“i am your alpha and your king you will listen to me” i spoke slowly and even bent down so i was face to face with her.

She let out a loud laugh and shook her head “you are no alpha nor king of mine”
