“Ayaan, get up, Sweety. Wake up to the count of 5 or else Mumma will be very angry.”

“Mumma, I have a stomach ache, please, can I skip school today?”

Riya walking to his bedroom and calling out his name "Ayaan don’t make excuses."

“Mumma, please. Just one day, I promise I will go to school tomorrow please please please !”

“No, no, no,” said Riya and pulls his blanket and wakes him up and tells him to freshen up and get ready for school.

Ayaan sits on the dining table after he is ready to face a new day. “Come on! I made you your favorite food, grilled chicken sandwich. This box is for you and this box is for our friends. Okay?”

With a big frown on his face, he packs his bag and wears his shoes and was ready for the bus. Mumma comes and gives him a peck on his cheeks and says, “ You remember what dad always say, children who go to school, study sincerely and do all the hard work become very successful in life. Don’t you wanna be successful? Just like your dad!” Ayaan nods his head and smiles. Just at the time the bus comes and makes a loud horn. Ayaan gives a peck to Riya and runs for the bus. Riya stands there and says goodbye to her son.

But little she knew that it was the last kiss, the last goodbye, and the last smile she will be seeing.

Two hours after Ayaan went to school, news flashed - some terrorists have hijacked the school in which Ayaan study. Riya rushed to the school only to find police and ambulance, she slowly walked past the dead bodies covered in blood, only to find devastated school building, hear parents of dead children screaming and crying. She was hoping that her Ayaan would be fine and nothing would have happened to him, but somewhere in her unconscious mind, she knew the reality. She was walking and walking and stumbled upon a hand, a hand with a bracelet written “A” and she recognized it. As soon as she saw the body she screamed with pain and sorrow, she cried watching her son covered with blood, she broke down she hugged the body and cried. Cried till she lost her voice, cried till she lost her consciousness. She woke up hours later only to bury her son’s body. Her 7years old son laid there speechless, motionless and dead. She couldn’t speak, she just sat between the graves of her son and her martyred husband. Her husband died fighting the terrorists 1 year back. She cried her heart out for the loss of her son as well as her husband. She felt lonely.

3 months by now, Riya is in a mental asylum, she is depressed and she can’t speak as she lost her voice, she still feels the presence of both her husband and son. She failed to cope with the loss of her husband and son. She couldn’t cope with the death of the guy she loved immensely, the guy who took vows with her, sacrificed his life for the country. She tried coping with that loss of her husband with Ayaan. She gave her time, effort and love all to Ayaan. But God snatched away the only thing that kept her alive. With the loss of two important people in her life, she lost herself. She lost her sanity, she lost her soul. Forever.

What God did to her was for the greater good? What God does, he does for good?
