Holding On To A Kitten

If you were looking at Felix, you would see him bang his head against the table while he's on his break. His friends, Brandon and Flynn, watch as he does and Brandon starts to giggle at him. Felix snaps his head up and flicks Brandon's forehead.

"Ow!" Brandon yelps, like an injured dog, and Felix feels a twinge of guilt, but keeps us his angry act.

Flynn just starts bursting out with laughter and, after she calmed down, asks, "Felix, why are you so angry today?"

He sighs and answered, "I was assigned this mission recently to assassinate one of my family 'friends'..." Flynn's eyes widen and Brandon loses his goofy smile.

"Uh, sorry, Felix." Brandon apologized. Felix waves his hand and reassures them by saying, "Nah, I didn't really care about him anyway." He explains that his mom just probably won't take the death well. Suddenly, Lawrence walks into the break room and Brandon stares extra hard at Felix and Lawrence, shifting his eyes between them.

Brandon knows how Felix looks at Lawrence and, Lord, he hates it. He wants to grab Felix by the shoulders and tell him exactly what he thinks about Lawrence. He's just some stupid, curly-haired guy, Brandon always thinks whenever he enters the room with him and Felix.

"Hey, Felix!" Lawrence exclaimed. Ugh, Brandon thinks, disgust showing on his face. Flynn knew what was going on and was suppressing laughter. She already knew what was going on without Brandon telling her, but, not knowing this, he told her anyway. Flynn loves to gossip. They're her friends though, so she couldn't do that.

"Oh, um, hey, " Felix stutters out, "What's your assignment, Lawrence?"

After saying this, Felix did finger guns. Finger guns. Normally, Brandon wouldn't show any sign of happiness around Lawrence, but OH MY GOD. What even was that?!

Lawrence, skipping over it, continues, "Oh, I've already done my assignment. It was one of the people I didn't like, so I guess I'm lucky!"

Brandon doesn't think their conversations could get any more boring.

Then, Lawrence drops a huge question, at least to Flynn, Brandon, and Felix it was.

"Hey, do you want to hang out, like go see a movie or...something?" he stammered. Felix couldn't believe it. Neither could Brandon. Brandon looks at Felix's hand and notices that he's holding his hands together tightly. How could he be nervous around Lawrence?

Felix is still in shock, but manages to squeak out, "Y-Yeah, okay! Of course!"

Brandon just became even more jealous and Flynn wished she could take her own personal picture.

Lawrence's smile starts to grow and he gushes, "Alright, cool! See you then!"

Everyone thinks that's the end of the conversation, but then Lawrence added, "Umm, Felix, I was needing your number, so, you know, I can make the plans with you later?" Felix immediately brights up even more. Flynn and Brandon watch as they exchange numbers and Flynn glances at Brandon to see him red in the face. She can't help but feel bad. After all, she kind of encouraged to date Lawrence...

Lawrence finally leaves and Brandon is still furious. How dare he get close to Felix?!

As soon as Lawrence leaves, Felix gets all giggly and Brandon is the one angry now. But you can't change what just happened.

Felix will be going on what was basically a date with Lawrence.

Flynn will probably stalk them, so she can learn all the juicy details.

And Brandon may actually act and take revenge.
